Fired up the John Deere LX 255 and ran over the front and back yard. Left the deck raised because the grass was getting pretty tall. Need to do something about all of the moss. Its been 3-4 years IIRC since I last thatched. The lower yard is still very wet.

Our grass stays green most of the year. Only starts getting brown in the late dry summer months when we have a drought. We only had the one snowfall in early Feb this year. I'm starting all of the spring chores getting the pastures ready for the cows and cleaning up the yard.

Nice looking yard, CJet! I wouldn't doubt that soon as we get some sunshine the "grass" here will take off with the light rains we have been having most every day. Our yard is hay grass and weeds, not real grass!

We ended up with 12" of snow got the Kubota out and cleaned up an area in front of the garages and the front of the house and the wheelchair ramp will mother nature take care of the rest. Boy I sure like the Kubota and snowblower it did make the 3 cylinder grunt some with this heavy wet sticky snow but never clogged

Sounds like here
Mine definitely needs it already growing like mad.... But soggy. I have the new tires on the bobcat landscaper's mower, had it running the other day and more push mowers than I hope to need for the season... My kid is already asking me if I have one for him grrrrr

I just did my front yard and around the detached garage for first time yesterday, that part has needed it for a week or more now, rest of the yard not so much.
I wanted to try out the 2 push mowers I am giving my son the choice of, before he took whichever of them he is going to for the rental and put the other of which up for sale...
I have 3 that I could put up for sale " right now" after my kid takes whichever of the ones I'm giving a choice of, and 1 more that's not far behind those. I'm keeping my 2 21" bobcats and my 32" bobcat. The 2 flymo's may also go but still deciding.

Between selling Mom's house, and the house trailer on the river my parents have owned since 1989, and John who I store my junk at dying/ and their family decided to expand the farm grounds making for a whole lot less mowing out there I'm down to mine and my mother in law's yard to mow.
I occasionally pick up another yard to mow here and there but I sometimes think about getting back into doing that sort of thing on the side.
A couple of summers when my kid was little (I'm talking before he was old enough to walk) I had 20 some yards to mow every week after work. Don't think I want that many again unless they're small and close together. But maybe 6-8ish...
Probably won't be this year as I have plenty of other stuff going this year.

Grass is not growing here. Neighbor still has two guys feeding silage most of the day, plus big bales of hay. Hay is going to bring a premium this year. Glad I bought enough for 2 years last fall for the 4 goats. $7 for a 70# square of nice green alfalfa with a little grass.

I hit the front and back yards for the second time again today. Took the clippings up for the cows to munch on. We like to start giving them a little grass every day or two to get them accustomed to green grass again so they don't bloat when we first turn them out.
