It’s done, about 6 or 7 inches.
Got all the fern peonies split, sold a bunch, and got the others replanted on Sunday. Got all the beds covered, except the strawberries; which were still growing. Cover those the next time I can see them.

Tilled mine in this evening. If I can find winter rye, I’ll throw some on it tomorrow. I have an 8x8x4 compost bin that I’ve been filling with leaves and grass clippings since 2003. I think it may be ready to spread on my garden now!

Thanks Lorna. Still have to cut about a cord for myself yet. And I cut between 16 “ to 18”. But my stove could take 22” to 24”. Just easier with the shorter ones for storing and moving.
Just finished doing 8 cord, 5 for my son, and 3 for my sister in law. It’s a lot of work. The cutting to the clean up. Takes time and effort. But keeps a person moving and getting a little exercise.

They say you get warm from firewood at least three times; (1) when you cut it, (2) when you split and stack it, and finally (3) when you burn it!

Well I thought I was doing good getting the fall things done then we got this 4-5" of snow that really put a new look on things AND we are suppose to get another 5-6" tomorrow afternoon and evening, I had not gotten the Suburban S12 out of the garage along with the lawn trailer and the Heald Hauler so this afternoon I decided to try and get them into the barn for winter hibernation. got the S12 to started so run it and the trailer to the barn tried the Heald Hauler it started right up so they are all in for the winter, now I just have to get the 76 PK from the barn into the shop in town when the snow goes

Woo hoo, done with the gardens. Spread the bark and saw dust this morning and tilled the last two gardens this afternoon. Used the MF 12 for tilling and the Case to haul the saw dust and bark. Took more debris to my dumping spot with the mf12 loader. Also got three tractor batteries out for winter storage. LGT 100 Ford, YT16H Ford and the Yardworks. Winterized the pressure washer. Repaired pull cord on pressure washer.
More steps done, closer to hibernation. Hehe.

In 2017 Ron and Scott Kimball closed the doors to powertech.

A guy named Rick Chatten bought them out.

I dont remember if I ever posted pictures of my super broncs. I know we talked about them before. They are tanks. Both were restored but used a lot afterwards.
