Very interesting had to look up where it was it about 100 mile straight north of me one has to wonder about the stry behi but it happens
nd its going down in the swamp what were they doing/thinking it happens
You are right a TD24 could be bought possibly restored for less money but how many have the back story of being in a swamp for how ever many years it was and that a bunch of guys went out with dirt augers drilled until they found it and then busted thur the ice and frozen dirt in the winter and attached chains to it while under water and so onSeen the vid but didn't really understand why they were doing it lol. If they pulled it up to restore surely there must be others above ground that would be better candidates?
That is a good question I have been thinking about that also, I think someone had to go in the waterIf that dozer was that deep in the swamp, how did they get the chains hooked up to the lift raings on the track frame ? ? They never showed that. The guy in the bucket out over the dozer didn't rerach down that far for sure.

That's really interesting, thanks for sharing it. Gotta wonder just how much money is going to be invested in getting it going, and how far are they going with it, a full restoration?Just saw this on Youtube. Thought some of you may want to see it.
I didn't realize that was a clip from a show. I thought it was just someone documenting the recovery of the dozer from its resting place in the swamp.Yep seen that one. 'Heavy Rescue 401' and 'Highway through Hell' are two great rescue type shows on the Weather Channel. Some of the feats they accomplish with those heavy rotators and wreckers is amazing.
