I'd remove the head light bezel and see what the color is behind it. I bet the paint is still good behind it if it's not been repainted.

I believe the silver was MTD's "Go to Color" for any company that just want to relabel the tractor and sell it.

A while back I did see a list of all the various outlets where they were sold. Not sure if it stated the colours though

It may have been the list I posted on the old place, and it didn't have the colors, just all the places that sold MTD.

I never had a bezel I had to get one off eBay. Once cleaned the original color showed up good behind the grille. Sometimes I wished I had went with the original color. I liked the Camaro Synergy Green but when pricing the paint chose not to. Lol The Gun Metal Gray was an after thought.

I have always liked the scowling front end on those tractors.

I think Eatons store in Canada, now out of business, like sears, use to sell those tractors as a Viking brand. They were white and blue in colour. I think.

Looks like it could have been blue under the red on that hood
