I recently put a new PTO belt on and cut some grass the other day for an hour or so. The rear end started jerking and slipping. I noticed the brake/clutch pedal wouldn’t come up all the way unless I lifted it up with the top of my foot. I’m not familiar with these newer LT”s so I seen on YouTube where grass can collect under the pedal bracket preventing the idler arm from engaging the drive belt all the way. Sure enough once I got under there I seen about a hand full of grass lodged under the bracket. I cleaned that out and it works fine now but I seen another problem. My new PTO belt was split. I checked all the pulleys and the traveling of the belt with no problems. The belt has a cloth jacket that looks like the entire seam let go. I’m sending it back for a refund. I think I’m going to get a standard belt this time. Some of these so called Kevlar or Aramid belts are not what they claim to be.
