Painting my truck

I picked up the truck today! I also got black paint on the bed, no pictures though. Tomorrow I hope to paint the wood. The visor and toolboxes should be done Monday.

For the visor, my buddy said there are rubber insert nuts or something that seal it. I had bolts with silicone before, and I did have a leak one time that wound up causing a lot of issues since the water ran into my fuse box.

Those rubber expanding nuts work good. No metal to metal contact and keeps the visor lifted just a bit for air flow between visor and cab. Now to get the wheels painted white again. Sharp looking rig.

Think you meant "silver" again. ;)

Actually, they are chrome hub caps! Haha! Thanks for the kind words, I thought about lights but think it will wait. I would like to get a bumper that does not have the spots for the plastic valance.

I had to put another coat of black on the bed, so I did not paint the wood today.

The bed is finished! I also put the mirrors, door panels, door trim and cab lights back on. I was also able to order the visor hardware from ford, it will be here Tuesday.

I was hoping to get the bed on tonight, but it doesn’t look like it will happen. I have rotated the tires and put the outer duals back on, emblems, bumper, and running boards.

I went to the local ford dealer at the recommendation of our local auto body supply shop to try to get the visor hardware. The parts clerk told me that visors are not a factory part and they do not sell the mounting hardware.
