The snowblower on the B2601 came with hydraulic lift and hydraulic chute rotation but has a manual deflector on the chute, in the past I have not changed the deflector all the much but the Agri-fabs on the Husqvarna had a cable lever assy that could be used from the tractor seat, so I decided to install an electric linear actuator to operate the deflector. So I ordered a actuator from EBay it came with 2 end clevis pins has a 4" range and its fairly slow which is ok for this use and the spec says it has lots of push/pull power, although not a real big deal in the use. Today I worked out how to mount the actuator to the chute and started on wiring the switch and the wire cable to go from the blower to in the tractor cab. Got a good start on it today

Got the switch end wiring done and the switch mount done, so its to its to paint the switch mt and feed the wire from the cab to the front of the tractor and make the electrical connections and to finish up the linear actuator mounts

4.5 MM / sec its not really slow for this appication I wouldn't want it so fast that you are overrunning and hunting for the position wanted

I think your on to something there Gary. Going to make you a nice addition.
Thinking back I didn't change my chute last year. If after moving my blower to the front if changing the chute deflection is needed I'll be coming back to this thread. Thanks for letting us follow along.

The IP54 rating is very low. You may want to consider adding a cover boot for protection. IP64 or higher is best.

Guess Brett has a point there. I never knew or even considered the IP rating other than a sales description whether or not its moisture proof .
But have heard of guys installing the actuators upside down to keep water from seeping in for that very reason.
 
Got some work done on the wiring this AM got the ground in the cab connected and got split loom on the cable to protect it, installed a circuit breaker next to the battery for the power lead and got that installed did a quick connection using wire nits to see if it was functuioning as it should and it is so far so good

Finished up the wiring today except for installing zip ties on the power cable along the tractor frame, otherwise got the split loom installed and everything zip tied in place.
