Tecumseh 3.5 hp

Is the the crank at least tapped..? Does sound strange.. Probably wouldn't have a lot of hours on it.
 
Horizontal or vertical shaft? Could it have been designed for using a belt pulley, like a V or flat belt?

Probably not worth the effort to put a different crank on it. What frame do you have? I personally wont put anything less than a 5hp on a minibike. Hs50 or hs50 is perfectly sized.
From what I seen these came with a 3hp flathead briggs and I got one.

It probably did. I'm not sure what that one is probably mid 70s such and such. Looks like a Penny's model...maybe a bird or cat built bike..

If you are a skinny guy. 3.5hp might get you around but at 235lbs a 3.5hp on a bike wont get me rolling without using my feet to shove off. A 5hp will throw me off......hard to believe 1.5hp makes that much difference.

We decided to fix it up for my nephew for his birthday so it getting a 3hp predator since they have holes I can use for a chain guard
