Does it use the regular size lenses or does it uee the oddball size that you have to buy from HF or cut down the regular size?

Didn't measure them. It comes with extra lenses so it's going to be a while before I need more. At least two and maybe more of each lense. I don't weld as much as I used to but the eyesight isn't getting any better so the visibility of this helmet is really appreciated. Thinking the manual said there are magnifying lenses available for it also. Darned cataracs don't like many lenses but this one works good.

If auto lens with non replaceable battery fails a replacement solar lens is available on eBay from China for under $10. I put one in my (black shield)Praxair when original quit after 15 years although it’s a single shade #12.
My other autoshield is a Speedglas variable,

We had an old dead fridge with a 150W light in it to keep things dry.. Worked well for us without the high cost..
