Spent the last couple of afternoons getting the skid steer trailer back in useable condition. Two new tires and a crazy wiring problem. Fixed the left side turn signal and replaced the right side light fixture. Turned off the truck and lights and moved onto the tires. Thought I might as well top off the bearing buddies and installed the wheels and new tires. One old tire was out of balance so took care of that. Was getting dark so I thought I would see what the new clearance lights looked like. Turned on the lights and flashers. Nothing. Nothing at all. What in the world is going on now? Maybe a ground issue but the ground is wired through the harness. Hitched up the trailer but still nothing. Now I’m starting to get frustrated . Only one thing to do and that’s to jumper a ground from the pickup to the trailer. Bingo! So Monday I’ll be tracing the ground connections. I don’t like trailer wiring. They are so simple but so prone to problems.
