I would think they would have a larger outer bearing to handle the load. I just looked back at some pics when we bought this. It was 2016 and we used it for the first time in 2017. It held up for 8 years. Should probably pull the wobble box off ever 2-3 years and inspect it or just replace bearings as a preventative measure. To my mind, it's amazing that those wobble joints can stay together at all due to the amazingly fast rate they run!
You're not out much to just bolt it back together and let 'er buck, CJet! It will probably hold up just fine.Trimmed the bushing down and now in the cleanup process. You can see how much damage to the threads this has but the new nut seems to hold well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Are you going to use some loctite blue on it or just depend on the cotter keyTrimmed the bushing down and now in the cleanup process. You can see how much damage to the threads this has but the new nut seems to hold well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Haven't decided yet. The new castle nut is a little taller than the old nut but rather than cutting it down I am thinking of cutting the notches deeper for the cotter pin but gain more threads to hold on to.Are you going to use some loctite blue on it or just depend on the cotter key
If my DW saw hoard pile like that at my place, when I got home from work, it would be all gone to the scrappers.I started working at clearing the concrete pad in front of the shop so I can park the Haybine there to get the wobble box installed and a few other repairs done before hay season. Moved a couple lawn mowers and still have one more under a tarp. The John Deere planter will go to the farm after I fix a flat tire. Then its just some tractor and farm equipment parts that need to be stored back in the lean-to on the container. There is also a John Deere BO under a tarp that needs to be moved.
You and me both, Bill!LOL....but I think Cjet said he wasn't married so no worrying there...
To tell you the truth I'd have a field day snoopy around his place...!
Looks worse than it is and most of it is working. Both riding mowers run and the planter works but just needs a few new bushings. Lots of parts and pieces that belong to ongoing projects. If my DW saw hoard pile like that at my place, when I got home from work, it would be all gone to the scrappers.
And more than half of this is my Dad's stuff.LOL....but I think Cjet said he wasn't married so no worrying there...

DAC just wants to get his hands on the AMC Pacer. That's my kind of driveway! I just have to keep it behind the shop or in the back yard.

Did you just put a new tube in it, CJet? That tire itself it an antique!Got the tire on the planter fixed. To save time I just fixed the flat spot on the bottom. You don't see Allstate tires very often anymore.
I'll take that if you throw in some of those Mustangs with it---LOL!DAC just wants to get his hands on the AMC Pacer.![]()
