Workin' on the Old Tractors

My order of 2-studs and flat head bolts for the MM UTS Special arrived today. The studs are for the heat riser on the manifold and the bolts are for the battery box mount. The old battery box is rusted away. Not sure if I will make a new one for this style of battery(3EE) or make one for a regular style battery. Waiting for some brass nut for the heat riser studs.

Hope it wasn't 5/16" or 1/2" brass nuts you needed, CJet. I have a bunch that I have no clue what I might use them on.

Since I am ready to prime my JD 165 fender pan I thought I would get my MM UTS Special fuel tank mount cleaned up. Ran it overnight in the E-tank, pressure washed it this morning, wire brushed, and treated with Ospho. Ready for primer. The last pic shows where it goes(red arrow) on the tractor. Every bit of pink I can make disappear is a win.
