4getgto's Auctions finds..

Picked up this Troy Bilt pressure washer today. Looked to be in really good shape and doesn’t look like it was used much. 3100 psi with an idle back feature on it. This is sold with many different names on it so nothing special just because it says Troy Bilt. But still very nice. Didn’t run it yet but should be able to turn it around and make someone a nice machine.

Another good score, Bill! Did you get hose and wand with it? I see some tips there.

DAC
I did..looks be a 25' hose but one of those stiff ones.
The wand looks nice except it has a safety button which are a pain.
I'm curious how this "idle down" thing works. Sounds like a nice idea as it keeps noise down instead of running full bore. Some kind of pressure actuator thingy on the pump with a cable to control the governor.

Good find on the Mercury Bill and the pressure washer. These cars are out there just like you mentioned the little old lady cars. We have an elderly lady a few miles from us has an old Buick Electra which was one of my favorites back in the day. She passes our place almost every Sunday and maybe once or twice to town. It’s immaculate.

I’m an old car person I’m 70 years old and only bought two new cars in my life time. A new vehicle is one of the worse investments you can make.

My washer has that stiff hose and a safety button too. It is kind of a pain, but if a person straightens it out it roils up ok. Would definitely rather have a flex hose for sure. No idle down feature. The governor picks up and drops down like it is supposed to at least.

You always do good on your buys Bill, and I'm looking foreword to your first test before you flip it!

Just a head's up on "little old lady" cars. Some of us innocent little old ladies would have happily driven formula one racers in the day!;)
All "little old ladies" don't drive Buicks---LOL! I dig your F-1 ambitions! My mom drove a lockout hub 4x4 for 30 years until she was 80! Her son in law gave her a car when she couldn't get up in the 4x4 so well any more. She wasn't any taller than you, Lorna, and loved trail riding in that truck!

My wife isn’t a little old lady yet but you wouldn’t want to own any car after she has daily driven it. Full throttle, off throttle, heavy brake. I can’t get her to drive any other way.

She will completely ruin pads and rotors on a vehicle in 25,000 miles.

When I had my Tacoma I put my first set of pads and rotors on it at 125,000 miles. My wife asked me how many sets I’ve put on it. I said this the first…I bought it with 3 miles on it.

My trucks. A 1996 G.M.C. diesel 3/4 ton 4x4 that will hit 120 going uphill and blow the socs off any "offending" vehicle that loiters in the fast lane. It also pulls a bale trailer with 15 big round bales on board out of a soft hayfield without being in low-lock. My daily ride is a (gutless) 2010 gas Chev. Sierra 1/2 ton with over 300,000 kliks. on it. And yes, since I'm pushing 80 myself I'm appreciating having running boards on both of them.
