Last night we got 4 to 5" of fresh fluffy snow, got the F-250 out and plowed the big areas, then got the PK with the Case snowcaster out and blew snow for 1.1 hrs, it worked like a charm no break downs or mishaps I'm really liking the snowcaster it move snow good doesn't throw it as far a the dual stage blowers but its doing good

I spray my blowers and throwers with Tremclad Gloss Clear paint. Seem to work great for me, to keep the snow from sticking. I spray my snow plows and shovels with it too and my loader bucket. Do it once or twice a season.
Some people use Pam or other things to keep snow from sticking. I’ve never tried those things.

Hi Noel I have used Pam or a similar product in the past but haven't for a few years now it seemed to help I have paint the inside of the chute with
this paint it works pretty good

How big is that blower? looks fairly wide but short... maybe 12" high?? Similar to early Cub or Simplicity blowers I would guess and they work well, Ive had a few Case tractors but none had a blower.

the Haban blowers for the old MTDs are only 40"w but they're 18"h.... my old yard had lots of space so I preferred the snowplow but here I have more tight spots so I might put a blower on the Columbia... have one in nice condition, matching paint and all.

That Case blower and both of mine are 48” wide Lance. But they did come smaller. 8” chute opening. I don’t like that, because I believe that’s why the don’t throw very far. Most throwers and blowers are 6” opening.
And my Case thrower is 16” tall Lance.

And some walk behind snowblowers have square or rectangular openings. Not sure what they were thinking there..

Im thinking wide would be nice 90% of the time but here I commonly get 20"/24" drifts so the taller Haban might pay off... not sure but I think the shute is only 6" and its fairly long also so they blow well, 20'+ depending on how wet it is... the rubber strips added to the paddles make a huge differance to any single stage blower.

the biggest drawback to putting the blower on the Columbia would be losing my custom front lift because I use it to carry all sorts of stuff year round..... I might be better off modifying the blower to fit the Case 446 thats sitting here doing nothing since I dont have any attachments for it.

no luck with rubber on the paddles???? thats weird cause Ive done it to at least a dozen differant blowers and its never failed to make a differance... 1/4" rubber strips that lightly rub against the back of the housing effectively creating a seal between the rotating drum and the outer housing. On some blowers Ive seen as much as 1/2" gaps.

I have no experience with bank cutters on the Case but they may help for the really deep snow, I have had them on another blower and they did help some, I;m in agreement with Noel that a smaller long chute would help the throw distance, I have used a Haban blower and they do pitch snow pretty good and as Lance posted the chute is longer and smaller diamter

I get the 24” drifts too and taller. Just have to go over it twice. No big deal for me.
Never had any luck with those rubber paddles. Didn’t seem to do any thing.

I have tried them also and like wise haven't been overly impressed, the later model Case units had adjustments to move the auger closer to the housing (for lack of a better word) and I've read where that improves performance
