I haven't updated this in nearly 3 weeks. It's still not tall enough to give it the first mow but it is pretty much all green now at least!

Earlier this year the half of my yard that I tilled and reseeded last year looked fantastic. I could definitely see a "line" between where it reseeded and where I left alone. I was thinking I'd have to do the rest to "even if out". I haven't done so.
Now the part I didn't touch looks better, the part I redid is brown and dead looking. I hope I don't have to do again (this would be attempt #3....) but as a whole my yard looks like crap, what isn't burnt out is weedier than it has ever been..... It's been a dry year, areas around us have had plenty, when they have gotten 5" of rain by work we've gotten an inch of we're lucky. That's 30 some miles away. I hear of them getting drenched the same distance north as well .. my mother in law would get 2-1/2" we'll see 3/8". I've been running a sprinkler in the front yard (not every day) and it's largely been a waste.
I want to spray the yard and/or put down some fertilizer but the weeds is all the "green" I have this year.
I do have another section of yard I've been wanting to retill and reseed for a few years..

This seeded area may die off to brown too when I take up the soaker hose. I don't regularly water so that will probably kill it after it gets established. The existing yard is mostly weeds so this nice green strip may be temporary.
