Ok I can't seem to get the video to come out, but here are a few pics of a brass welding rod and the end result.
First pic is of welder setting and rod itself (rod itself is actually bronze)
The second and 3rd pics are the end results.
4th pic is the rod box.
This is what I get to play with all the time, welding or bonding dis similar materials....

Nice, so it’s not much different than welding with a bronze rod and torches, is it ? End result about the same ? Just doing the welding electrically instead of a flame. ?

Only dc reverse polarity for them.
But they lay down nice if your used to a non contact type rod.
They consume really quick compared to steel so you need to be on your A game for sure or you will be forever trying to strike an arc.
So your machine does mig, tig, and stick..?

I don't have a stick machine anymore.

I will agree about the Vulcan welding helmet. Because of declining eyesight I thought I was going to have to give up welding. Thanks to the Vulcan helmet I can again see clearly when welding. I love it.

The Vulcan Omni 220 like I have is MIG/TIG/Stick. I've not used the TIG yet, but have all that's needed. I bought a spool gun for the MIG so I can easily MIG weld aluminum as well as TIG. Only comes with the MIG torch and stick. TIG equipment sold separately.

Would love to have a tig. Just don't have enough projects to justify it...
I have a little 100amp Lincoln mig that works great but could be a little hotter...

Go to the drugstore and try out magnifying glasses so you can read fine print about a foot away. Take the hood to the LWS with you. It's probably the common 2"x4" size.

Anywhere that sells welding supplies should have them . They come in a bunch of different magnifications too. Mine is a 2.5
