Massey 1655 Loader Build

Cart before the horse here but the pump is here so I thought if mock it up. Just a temp plastic coupler. It’ll be 5 1/4” proud of the front. Ill be adding a shield over it. It’s bigger than the older Cessna pumps but it’s what I have. (It’s not tight here so it’s hanging a bit.) I have a piece of 3/16” plate that’s almost the perfect size. It’ll bolt to the two factory holes in the front and the pump will be able to move if it needs to l.

Got the valves today, now I have to decide whether I want to go with a new style or go original for sure lol. (with Scott's valve being the third). I wasn't thinking above when I sad about reversing the order, I was forgetting they're upside down on the Massey lol. I'd have to reverse the handles though. I'd like to go original but the new ones look pretty nice, plus that would give me a third factory valve for the tractor. I already polished up stainless handles to replace the pitted chrome ones. I may switch the linkages on these as well. I know they were off a Massey Daniel, but looks like the handles were re-tooled at some point?

Danial I'm considering mounting the valves "upside down" (or right side up as the Massey's are concerned lol) like you did on your old 1655. Was there any issues or concerns? The hose loops would be going down instead of up is the only difference I can think of other than room to do it around the post? I might even cut down an old factory plastic side cover to go over them if I can find one lol hmmmm.

You can place them any angle\position you want....they won't care.

Yep, that's how they were on the loader Daniel built, 1000 PSI couldn't care less about how the valve lays! I have the new joystick valve that replaced them sitting on it's side, with the hoses coming out towards the hood, still work just fine.
