Mini Cultivator

One thing I found out quick with those machines is they like to throw dirt to the side. If you till close to lettuce or any head type plant, good chance they will throw dirt onto the forming head. It don't wash off ! So either make sure you keep it away from forming broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, etc. or put a side shield on it to keep the dirt contained or you will have dirt in you produce when harvested. I used an old license plate and put one on one side of my Ryobi this morning.

I was watching mine & like you mentioned it needs a couple of fender skirts. Good idea on the plates I hope your license plates are still good & not expired.:D

This thread got me going, I placed an ad in Facebook last night and got an answer that this guy had a couple at the local flea market. Went over on my lunch break today and picked these 2 up. The Noma started after a few pulls. The Ryobi, the fuel lines are rock hard and I will fix them before trying to get it going.

fuel lines are the 1st to go wrong with a Ryobi and the primer rubber boot ,no matter what the unit is

I agree....Put on new fuel lines. Can't find a bulb so have a few ordered on eBay (5 for $4 from China)....will take forever to get here. Plugged up those lines and with a bit of choke it starts. Runs like a top.
The other one, I am having trouble with. Took the carb apart, looked clean. Blew it out, but still like its running out of gas.

i find my near new primer bubbles from old weed eaters ect from the city curbside some are still pure clear still , i'm just a cheap scape lol

Yeah, I get that....mine has the engine further down, so has a little more weight on the tines. Yours to me looks like a teeter totter, engine way back there is just going to lift on the tines. Gas tank on mine basically fell apart, not sure if I will be able to fix it. Going to see if I can get the other one going better in the spring.

Every fall the tanks are emptied and run them 'til they die. They've both worked well with this method. I think one thing that has helped is to buy only non ethanol gas for all my small engines.

I had a few minutes to look at my Mantis. A quick search for a new carb showed a Mantis for $75, and a bunch of others in the $11 range. Mine needs Carb C1U-K82 part# A021001090...... any suggestions as to where to get one (or several for the shelf!) based on anyone’s experience?
