One sure way to make sure they don't return. .22cal short. When they start tearing up the bird feeders, catch and release is not an option.

I think they’re just drawn in by the illusion of the funnel. The ones that George made didn’t even have a cover over the funnel like this one. He just put a perch there for the sparrows and I guess when they look in that funnel, they gotta go in there and find out what what it’s about. I don’t understand it myself, but they sure work.

That's where the term "bird brain" comes from---LOL!

Last winter, I had a trap out to try to catch our 13-year-old house cat that somehow got out. Caught a lot of other cats, but never got ours. She approached the trap a couple of times, but never went in. Saw that on the security cameras. Never saw her on the cameras after those times but my wife visually saw her once later. Gone for good it looks like now!
