I swapped out two of the bolts that held the rocker shaft assemblies for studs like the original 216 used and put a chromed 216 valve cover on the 261. To all those except ones who really know what to look for it looks like the original engine, especially with the old oil bath air cleaner still in service. Exactly the look I wanted with the performance I wanted too.
This is the battery out of that Gardenway LT that I brought home to try to charge and see if it holds. I'm not sure about that date but I'm guessing it is May, 2018?
For being completely dead for at least two years, it seems to be holding a charge! I have it in the MF1450 right now and it's still hanging on to 12.5 volts without being charged from the engine or a charger!
