Get to go over to my kids rental now that the rain has stopped and mow, and if the ac isn't running on the upstairs unit, pull the grates off and clean the crap off that's coating the condenser fins. I did the other ac unit when I mowed last weekend
To me, that's a perfect reason to buy another rifle! I've actually done that before and just bought a rifle to fit the ammo! LolDaniel, your not the only one that orders the wrong items.
I ordered some ammo from Brownell's last week. Wanted the Hornaday .22 WMR but ordered the .17 by mistake. Nothing to shoot them in either so looking for a gun show to try to do some trading.
22mag are really my favorite all around rifles to shoot, except for deer season of course. I have several 22 magnum rifles, bolt, semi-auto, and lever.Ihave several .22 and a.22 WMR. The .17 fits in between and no advantage to what I have. Would rather get a .357 lever.
I haven't got this .22 mag zeroed in yet. Got busy with other things, then got to hot to mess around with them. Have that M15 style .22 to zero in also. Peep sight rear and post front.22mag are really my favorite all around rifles to shoot, except for deer season of course. I have several 22 magnum rifles, bol, semi-auto, and lever.
Sounds like a good use for it if it isn't in usable shape, Rog. Loree has a few cast pans she uses occasionally. Don't think they are old enough to be collectable. Couple of them may have been my mom's.Finishing up a cast iron Dutch Oven kettle I picked up at auction a couple weeks ago. Lot of rust and not sure it would be usable piece. No lid with it so may be a flower holder. Wind don't blow them over like they do the new small bottomed pots.
Curious to how you determined the compression release was broke..?17.5 Briggs I thought just needed a valve adjustment due to kick back on starter, but turned out the automatic compression release on camshaft is broken. Not sure yet if owner wants to foot bill to fix. Then there's this Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4 wheeler...the hardest to work on EVER! I had to remove front rack and all front fender just to get to the radiator cap! NO removable cover for access! Everything requires "Brute Force" to get to anything! Still can't even see rear spark plug!
Sounds like there is a Kawasaki engineer that needs to be hauled out to the nearest tree and lynched, Daniel! What the hell are they thinking? The 750 Kawasaki needs a hole cut where I laid a loop of fuel line in Pic. Sent to owner to see if I get the go ahead. Totally stupid that it has zero access to radiator cap! Even after removing rack and fenders, the radiator cap still can't be accessed until you remove yet another plastic cover! From under fender you can't even get a peek at the cap!
You have an awesome daughter, Ted! Our daughter is very mechanically inclined but to my dismay chose to be a techie. No not really, she had a good video editing business going, but lives 340 miles away.Came home from work and since it was not 100 degrees outside decided I better mow the yard, been 3 weeks. I mainly use the MTD for mowing and was doing good until I went to do a part of the lawn in front of the house that is a little tricky. Mower hit a slick spot and decided it wanted to go down hill not left and up. I called my daughter who lives 40 min away for help. while she was on the way I mowed most of the back yard with my MF8H with predator engine. It did ok but the exhaust broke off at the manifold and is a little loud. I will get it fixed up one of these weekends. Daughter showed up and with the MF14 loader and ATV winch was able to get the mower on flat ground. I will finish the mowing tomorrow hopefully it dries up. I did end up pulling off the right side duals on my pickup to replace the valve stems I just installed (wrong) I ended up putting some pop in rubber ones this time. I need to take the front frame of the Allis 310 to the car wash so I can get most of the grease off and get ready for paint.
After adjusting valves to proper clearance, as you turn engine just before TDC, the intake valve should open just a tiny bit to drop compression enough so it can spin over. You have watch the valve closely to even see it, as it's very slight. Once engine fires the centripical force causes a small weight on the compression release to pull in the little rod that bumps the lifter to relieve compression so engine then has full compression. Usually when the compression release stops working it's because the little rod snaps off. It's less than 1/8" thick and over 1/2" long...maybe 3/4. If owner chooses to have me put in new camshaft I will post a pic of the failed part.Curious to how you determined the compression release was broke..?
