What did you do with your tractor today?

Good for you to be helping your neighbor too, Nick. I would just tell him that it is easier on you and your equipment if you could mow more often, along with getting it done faster. Sickle mower might not be a bad idea!

Maybe I could figure out how to lift it up a bit, but out here in wind country, taking it off is impossible if you want to keep the clippings and other debris like small twigs and chopped leaves out of your face. Even with it on when it discharges into the wind it is a beating of debris in the face. That deck is actually open above the end of the right blade too.

I hear you Doug.
I also see how that deck is designed. Its downright scary to look down and see the blade looking up you. Seen many Craftsman, MTD decks made that way thinking its easier to mount a grass catcher to without taking up more width ? My little lt1000 is the same way.

Sounds logical that it would help with a bagger to keep it narrower, Bill. I should probably start looking for another deflector as this one may break up some day.

I finally got my MF 14 with loader running today after putting a new set of points on the Kohler. I needed to move it out of the way to be able to take the snowblower off the MF12H. Then it was time to play tractor shuffle with the case 195 and MM110. I had to move the 195 out of the way to have room to move the MM110 to so I could get the MF tiller out which was parked behind the MM110. I put the tiller on the MF12H and then moved the MM and Case back where they were parked. I still need to mount up the gearbox and driveline on the MF12 for the tiller planning on doing that late tomorrow or Sunday. My oldest daughter wants to put in a garden this year and needs a spot tilled in the back yard, planning on doing that in 2 weeks.

I took the Blower off the Allis B112 and mounted the mower deck. ( I serviced it last fall ) Then I mowed my bud's farm for 3 hours. I had a good time mowing grass that was 18 inches tall in places. That is one tough mower. Then I went home and mowed my yard with the Toro 11-44 for an hour and a half. Toro was a freeby, but it has been a great machine.

Hauled a bit of wood home from my son’s place. And took the Case 446 with newly attached Kwik Way loader home too. It’s a great help with the wood.
And a bad hydraulic leak on the Case 224.
Will take it to my sons place to look at it.

That mower deck looks more like an oil catch pan. Good luck on that issue.
You gotta be loving that loader.

Tilled a garden strip yesterday with the Bolen G16XL. and self powered tiller.. Was hard and dry. Backed the corner of the tiller into a chicken wire fence and warped up about 20 feet before I got it stopped. Was looking at the other end. Planted tomato and cabbage plants this morning, rings placed and mulched good. Soaked good will hold them for a few days. Had 3 cracks in the old garden hose that runs from the goat barn to the garden. About 125 feet and been there for years. Time to think about replacement.

Pulled the pressure washer out from winter storage, Changed the oil, filled with gas and second pull it was running. Will flush the supply hose and start cleaning mowers up in the morning. Have a Ortho Surgeon appointment at 3:45 tomorrow. Hopefully get a couple shots to easy the knees pain a bit. Makes it hard to accomplish much when the knee does not want to ben and hurts all the time. Knee brace helps but does not solve the problem.

Weather wasn't real good, but mowed with the GT5000 and ran the MTD "mobility scooter around to do the weed trimming. Light rain at times, cool and windy all afternoon. Didn't realize my gas cans were empty, except for the one I dumped in the Craftsman to mow. Had just enough. Need to go fill them.

Cleaned up some wood from a tree limb that went down last month. Also had some cut up stuff from last year by front driveway. The Sears will pull a wheelie when I let out clutch even with the extra weight on the front. Ended up with 2 full loads of locust.

Finished up the lift handle on the 12H. I thought I was all done with the 12h but the choke cable decided otherwise, it jammed up somewhere and pulled out of the wire hole in the dash. I removed the gas tank and the whole choke cable assembly. I have new inside wire, I made a new choke cable wire. The new wire does not bind on anything so it should be good to go.
I then started working on the 12G I picked up a couple of weeks ago. The steering column needs replaced it has several issues. To take the steering column off the steering wheel has to come off and then the dash. With all the rust nothing wanted to come apart, I ended up cutting the steering wheel off. The metal piece of the dash came out, I had to cut wires going to the amp gauge. The plastic dash piece is broken on the bottom where the 4 bolts hold it to the tractor. I will have to buy a tube of panel bond and fix this dash up the correct way. I did end up getting the steering column out and apart looking at getting a used one off of ebay to replace this bad one.
