What did you do with your tractor today?

not to day but during the week i had some seat time opening up another garden patch approx 10 yards long to add to the other garden to make it worth having in total to be 20 yds x 4 to 5 yds wide approxIMG_20181107_175554.jpg the average stone size i'm digging up while doing it , the tine on the sod buster is a life size chisel plow tine IMG_20181107_175415.jpg works good on clump grass and hard paddock grass
IMG_20181107_175532.jpg still heaps of grass clumps in their though the day before i weed trimmed to make it easier then skimmed the cut grass off to the top side with the blade on the rancher 2 later i will pick the grass and put it over the top fence side for contour wall with the stones to stop heavy rain wash lol if i get any haha ,IMG_20181107_175614.jpg have to remove the fence soon too to join the 2 gardens together

Nothing exciting just pulled the lawn sweeper around to try and harvest some leaves. The sweeper isn't working nearly as good as last year for some reason. Get about a 1/2 of a basket full and that's it, then it's just putting them back on the ground riding the broom round and round

Yesterday in the nie 25 degree temps with a whippin wind and snow flakes I had to clean up the leaves and mow one of my clients yards so me and the gas powered leaf blower and a couple rakes and my Lawn boy push mower with bagger and the Toro rider worked a few hours and made $160,I was froze and sore when I was done but money in my pocket I didnt have when I started

Yesterday morning I went to get the 1655 White with rear blade to clear the drive a bit. Fuel tank was empty - again. Very pour design as they have the outlet in the RF corner of the tank, rubber grommet with snap in fuel shut off valve. The tank vibrates around and ends up with the shut off against the frame and causes the grommet to leak. Thought I had it fixed once but guess not. Not any room to block it over, etc. due to the drive shaft and battery tray. Warm day project. But it worked good clearing snow. That 5' blade in 2" of dry snow took 3 passes and the drive was cleared - with a couple little ridges of snow left for seed.
This tank is suposed to bolt down in place by 4 short bolts up through the support pan and into a nut moled into the bottom of the tank. # were leaking at this point and the tank was cracked a bit so repaired that but did not bolt it back down again for fear of breaking loose the repair. Going to have to make a strap that anchors the tank over the top. A bungee cord allows to much movement.

Now that's just a load of crap

Cleaned out the goat pens, ended up getting trailer stuck in the bucks' pen, it became a sloppy mud slick. Trailer barely fits between posts, tractor slid and I couldn't get proper angle and trailer was stuck up against post. Genius me decided to use my HD ratchet strap and pull trailer sideways, snapped fence post off at ground.....trailer is sitting there til ground freezes.....and if course it got dark so I'm repairing fence that I can't see. I got this little AC mobile under its own power yesterday, main issue was the PO had bought the wrong size drive belt and couldnt figure out why the clutch didnt work properly, and the carb needed cleaning because it was parked for several years, todays plan is to go thru the deck... the tension pulley bearing might need to be replaced but otherwise it seems like it should cut grass.

Friday I worked on my wifes chicken coop. It was suppose to be done a long time ago. I used the Sears SS15 to haul some lumber & tools to the coop. I pre fabbed the trusses in my shop back in the summer for the run. It's been a muddy mess around here off & on for weeks.

Haven't started a tractor for over a month. No reason to. Feed for the goats & cats along with some bird food was hauled on the 4 wheeler. It stays in the garage/shop right at the door.

I am going to start up my JD110 and the cub 108 as they are the two with the blades on for plowing snow and I havent run them in over a month,We have NO snow and no real chance of any in the near future:thumbs:
