What did you do with your tractor today?

Got my Wheel Horse C160 out of the trailer.....
I have not had my C160 very long. When I brought it home it had the 36” RD deck on it but I am going to use this machine for ploughing and tilling. I removed the deck (that was simple!!) then figured out how to attach the tiller. The previous owner didn’t have a belt for it.... looked in my shed..... had B140, B142, B156...... no B139!!!!! That figures.....

I installed the B140 just to see it turn, which it did, but it’s too long..... Amazon to the rescue.... two Gates B139 belts to my door for $35.08.

Finally was able to get some seat time on the MF8E plowing snow today. It ran great but now I remember why I wanted to use the factory blade on the MF12G. I think that the home made hydraulic setup needs to come off and adapt a mechanical blade to it, probably the 12G one. There's way too much backing up needed and with no float or angle ability, it doesn't do as clean of a job. It definitely needs more wheel weight too. I better get serious about building them. It still did an adequate job but my neck is hurting and I hate trying to back up on a GT wearing bibs and a hooded jacket.

Pulled the starter on the Kubota snow blower. Tore it down and cleaned out all the old grease and sprayed it down with brake cleaner. No lubes on the Bendix this time as it gets too cold here and the Bendix was staying engaged with the flywheel. Lubed the bushings and reassembled. So far it's working good.
I did learn or relearn something about the engine. For a long time I had thought it was a D905 but turns out it is a D950 with 21.5 hp. according to the tag. You'd think I'd know what I installed in there.
The #40 roller chain on the auger has needed changing for a while so that was next. And of course it couldn't come out to the even link. Luckily there was a 1/2 link in the drawer but I think I put that chain on 4 times before it was right. At least now it runs smoothly.

Not a Gt but got the 2X4 wheeler out in 6" of snow to haul 100 lbs of feed from the garage to the animal barn. Got to the wlk through gate and it slid around headed up hill. Unloaded, drug the back end around then the front to get headed back to where I can from. Made it out without taking an fence, trees etc. with me. Will find out if the CC 1512 with weights on Ag tires is enough to push the thrower in this heavy wet snow. Going to spary the chute down good with silicone before I start and hope that helps. Need to have a plastic coating that can be sprayed to the thrower chutes to keep them slick all the time. Something like Plasticoat ? ?

not much lately, put a tarp on the one that I had the plow on last winter, might have to put the plow onto it later today... was hoping to avoid it this year.... moved the snowblower one in and out of the garage a couple times this past week for working space and back in, looks like I'm gonna actually gonna have to use that machine later today..... already got the neighbors asking if I am gonna be able to bail them out.....
gotta get some 2 cycle mix for the small blower....

We got about 5 in of the wet heavy crap ,I went out and put the JD110 to work pushin.Made it about 20 minutes and had to go to the shop and repair the lift rod for the blade,Then back at it.Only got mildly stuck 2 times when I pushed the snow just a bit too far and high centered myself.I almost needed the tire chains put on,I have the JD 31 tiller mounted on the back for weight and it combined with my fat butt and AG tires keeps her moving without much problem,Even plowing up hill for a ways when I have to.I actually have more of a problem steering than anything else,It has turf tires on the front and it just slides in a straight line sometimes instead of turning but it works well and I dont have to shovel!

We are up to about 7+ now but it has stopped snowing. Guess I will have to go out and play tomorrow morning. My little glack Pom went out this afternoon and mom let him back in and the first place he headed was her recliner, snow balls and all.

Plow snow last night for 2 hours. Cleaned about 4" off. Drove to neighbors, I had one pass left and caught a joint in driveway, snapped the pin holding the angle, just went home. Get to clean about 4 more inches today along with neighbors and we are loading up and doing some other people's drives.

It started snowing again about 2 yesterday afternoon. Went out this morning and got the CC 1512 Diesel fired up. Had to put chains on and could have used the 75 lb weights in the machine shed on it also. I have a pair of turf saver tires mounted so think I will put the weights and chains on them and just swap the wheels fall and spring. That thing will sure blow snow. Wet stuff about 10" deep on the level and it was throwing it about 15 - 20' feet out. Had no problem with it sticking in the chute either. First time that tractor has had a load on it since I had it, probably ever as all it has had was a mower deck. May make a pair of chains to put on the front too to help steer it. Job is done, road grader was down here at 8 this morning so have clear drive and roads to get out, - but why would I want to ? ? ?

Done plowing, heavy wet snow. We got 10".
My son did most of the pushing while i cleaned off cars and sidewalks. I need to put a stop on the blade he just drops and goes, I lift it some so it doesn't scrape so much,....gonna need a dump truck load of gravel this year LOL.
I also put my new chains on, my buddy bough them for his JD yrs ago, never used them, in fact he never used the snow blade either, i have that too. He gave me them when he moved. One came lose and caught my fender and bent it a little. Fixed that all was good, my tires are a little skinny for the 23x10.5 chains, hard to keep them tight.

Video is the boy. Luckily he wasnt on call at work at the parks this weekend, he would have been plowing the parks all weekend.
