Ya Never Know What You Find Goin' To Home Depot......

Cool piece of advertising, Eric! Goes good with your Murray!

DAC

Thank you for your compliment Dac, and so sorry that it took me so long to reply. We think it goes good with it too, and is a pretty cool advertisement. Tomorrow will be the test to see how it really looks, because it will be going to the fair for the coming weekend. I will get some pictures of the tractor with the ad at the fair then post them for everyone.

Today my stepdad painted the back piece of the body below the fenders where the information sticker is. He used some left over “inferno red” Dodge paint he had lying around that he used to touch up his car. Its not the best but it looks better than it did, and it doesn’t match too bad either. Here are some pictures….

Looks good Eric. Its in a place where you won't be able to compare paint colors to much..
Nice little Murray your step dad has there..

That paint looks nearly identical in those pics, Eric! Hope you post pics from the show! Makes me feel bad I'm gonna scrap one of those Murrays!

DAC
It looks VERY identical, I will get more pictures of it in the daylight hopefully in the sun to really see it. I will definitely post some pictures of the show for everyone, probably in the events part of the forum. I will post a couple here too from last year. Speakin a your Murray Dac, I forgot to tell you. I told my stepdad that you were going to be scrapping yours, and he said he would possibly be interested in the transmission. But I don’t know how it would get here. He also said he don’t really need anything else. I will mention it to him again though just to remind him about it because he probably forgot and its not on his “priority” list, and I get back to you. I hope you are not in a real big hurry to get rid of it, maybe try to sell it as a parts or fix machine on Craigslist or somethin instead of just scrapping it. I hate to see and hear that. Anyway, here are some pictures from last year of where I’ll be headed to tomorrow.

Looks like a great show, Eric. A lot of guys say to strap stuff on a pallet, and it can be shipped through Fastenal. The pulley on the transaxle looks pretty rough so that might be difficult to put a new one on it. Saddest part is that it's the only tractor I have, besides the MF8E that the headlights work on---LOL! I will keep the engine, ignition switch and the gas tank. The seat is already on my JD110.

That’s a nice looking herd you have Eric. Those little Murray’s are well built unlike most in that era. They have a nice look about them. Those rear ribs look good on it. I like that herd of Simplicity’s too. Nice show.

Thanks Jim, those tractors do have a nice look to em and the rear tires look tough and bad*** on the back. They were a good choice, my stepdad wanted a “hotrod” type of vibe to it. He says he seems to think that they sold alot because of the color. Those simplicity’s were nice too, and they were all brought by the same owner. We brought the Murray up to the fairgrounds today to put in the show along with our other Craftsmans, and we haven’t seen them yet this year. We were the only lawn and garden tractors there, but I suppose they could come in the next couple days. Just FYI Jim (and everyone else), I did make a post about the fair this year in the events part of the forum. Here are a couple pictures of all our tractors at the fair today though….
