And more junk.

And we wonder why our junk drawers get full...
You say that like it is a bad thing, Bill---LOL!

Made up a few short cords this morning. Needed one 6-7' long to tie to the leg of the bridge crane to get power to the hoist. Had an 8 footer there but it drags on the floor. Couple more 10-12' and also put a male end on the trouble light that was cut off the cord reel.

Pretty well built on the inside too. The screws are not color coded but the place where the wires insert is.

All of the screws are facing the same direction so they can be tightened without turning the plug.

On the second one I thought maybe these are just pretty but are junk. It felt like I was stripping out all the screws. Dawned on me to look at the little screwdriver I was using. The handle was split!

Finished cords.

The plugs look nice Doug. That’s funny you cranking on the screwdriver.

Speaking of shop space I’m about ready to do a MFDAC and start tossing stuff. I remember awhile back Doug just threw stuff away. It seams like you can’t sell anything and you sure can’t post anything because of so many crazies out there. My biggest problem is not finishing projects. I can remember that was one of several things I liked about our friend Kenny he posted from start to finish and out the door.

I know what your going thru with the cords. Seems like a guy never has enough 6' to 10' cords around. I even have one of those retractable cords with 3 sockets and it seems like I'd rather use a short cord.
Those look like nice cord ends.

I think those ends were a good buy JIm. Obviously the little hobby screwdriver wasn't up to the task---LOL! Boy I wonder what in the heck was wrong with me throwing away stuff? I rarely ever do that!

Kenny was starting a small project he hadn't posted on the forum yet when he died. I had sent him some stickers for it not long before his passing.

He had a "Kensico" garden trailer he was going to restore. He never sent me a full picture of the trailer, just this one of the sticker, and PDF file of the straight on look with dimensions. I did modify the logo slightly to make it more durable, which he was good with.

I often think of what may have happened to that trailer and the rest of his stuff. I would have liked to get that trailer and finish it in his honor. Still miss him for sure.

I still can build a few more cutting off the male ends to whatever length I need, Chris. Plenty of cords around here to do that. Have 1 female and 4 male ends left. Short cords are very handy in a small shop! These ends seem to be better quality than the HF ones to me.

Sucks....

Sucks bad Bill.

We are going to Missouri Thursday morning so I did several loads of laundry before I got out to the shop. Loree won't have time since she still works. I always do my own anyway.

Got out to the shop and made a couple stickers, one for me and one for a Missouri friend that has the same name as me, right down to the middle name! Put them on magnetic sheet and cut them out.

Since the vinyl cutter was hooked up, I made the labels for the control on that new to me electric hoist.

May not be back on until a week from today now.

Will do Rog! We are going to a dirt track race at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. 2nd year now. Open late model show with superstocks and "Vintage" cars. Was fun racing last year at a beautiful race track.

Wheatland sound familiar so had to look on the map. I went South out of it to Nemo and them to the resort on Pomme de Terre lake there. Won't be far from Kansas Speedway either.

Was cleaning out a bunch of stuff from the old wood shop. Included was a couple or Makita stick type battery chargers that still worked. Yesterday I found 3 Makita drills, 2 standard and one 90°. Two had batteries in them marked good. Now to find the chargers in the junk pile to see if they will still take a charge. Might have to get the loader to stir the pile a bit to find the cords, then the chargers.

Safe travels and have a good time.
Thanks Chris! Was a good time last year, great professional racing! Just was pretty cold for Friday night's show. Much nicer for the big money show Saturday night.

Have a good trip Doug!
We will Nick, thanks!

Have a blast buddy!
We sure will Daniel! Thank you!

Wheatland is really a puny little town, Rog. Only 1 motel, and 2 restaurants. We stay at a cabin at a campground right beside the racing facility. The Lucas family lives in the area and has a big cattle operation just outside of town. Track serves burgers with beef from their own herd. The racetrack complex it second to none though! Has a off road racing track and a power boat lake too that is big enough to run unlimited hydroplanes. The races we are going to will be televised on Flo Racing streaming channel.

It sounds like you are dealing with junk kind of like me, Rog---LOL! Those old Makita stick battery tools were real good to use! My first set of cordless tools were that type. Batteries quit holding a charge and back then replacements were too expensive to justify buying more.

Got done with Loree's car earlier than I expected so came on the site here for awhile. Loree is working late to cover her @$$ a bit for next week.

Plan on hitting the road 6-6:30 am, go as far as St. Joe, or maybe to Kansas City and get a room. Last year we got to St. Joe but has to leave later.

We got home about 4pm Mountain time today. We witnessed probably the best dirt track racing we ever saw in all 3 classes! Huge car counts and very little crashing. It wasn't prime weather but we toughed it out again!

The drive back from Sioux Falls today was tiring, with NW wind gusting over 50mph at times and many rain squalls along with it. The rain was blowing across I-90 like ground blizzards. Temps were ranging from the mid 30's to low 50's---LOL!

Definitely parts of the yard are needing mowed!
