And more junk.

I think they pay quarterly around here but Daniels water bill doesn't sound horrible. I have a well so I don't know exactly what the going rates are but I have heard in the $100-$250 quarterly range. Obviously that's all dependent. But I do know that wells aren't free either.

You get a great deal on water service too, Daniel!

Had another honey doo happen yesterday after noon and today after errands in town. We went into town yesterday so Loree could buy this 100 lb coffee table from a friend. Took the 2 wheel dolly. Pulled it up the steps into the house but didn't want to start on it. Got going on that thing about 12:30. It was new in the box but her friend is moving and didn't want to attempt to put it together.

Some assembly required---LOL!

I think it is kind of ugly but she wanted it to make it easier to use her laptop sitting on the couch.

I like it! Plenty of storage, plus I wouldn't have to scoot my coffee table closer to recliner to actually use it.

My well played out years ago, so had to get on city water. Not having to use city sewer keeps my bill low.

Well for whatever it's worth I think your wife is onto something and you have to admit it is unique.
$250 bucks worth of unique, Chris---LOL! 350 new. This thing is new but the box had been opened. Thankfully nothing was lost. I much prefer sitting at a desk to be on a computer. I'm not real big on laptops. I have a couple old ones in the shop and take one when we go out of town sometimes. I can't do that finger pad thing so I hook a mouse to them.

That top on the table was built from the factory to have the drawer facing the opposite way the top moves. Loree decided she would like the drawer pulling the same way as the tabletop. I managed to get the damm thing reversed today. The original mounts were not designed to be reversable. Now there is a few exposed holes I will try to disguise sometime, but didn't feel like it today. My shop is a mess.

Got to work picking up crap from a few different projects in the shop to give me a fresh starting point. Worked on putting little casters on the bottom of that old sink. It was originally a kitchen sink in the previous life it had in an old house that was torn down to make way for the in-laws to set up a trailer house on that lot. House was in awful shape and needed to come down. Long story about that too but won't go into it. I rescued the sink before it got bulldozed.

Sprayed lube on the casters and set it on the wheels. The faucet fell apart. Took that piece of crap off.

Kitchen faucets are big money, but managed to find one for $42 at Home Depot. We don't have one here but it had free shipping.

They say it is brass but we will see---LOL! For the seasonal use, hopefully it will last as long as I am able to be useful in the shop.

I cleaned up what I could with glass cleaner but it still needs a scrub with something more abrasive. Back was hurting so that's when I went to the PC to search for faucets.

Still didn't spray weeds even though they are getting real bad. Looked like rain all day and windy.

For some damm reason I can't edit my above post Daniel so I will just add another---LOL!
With the alteration on that table I did today, the drawer can't really be opened, with legs on the floor in front of it. Cool design but still needed to be thought out better. Narrow drawers on each side would have been nice.

Daniel and John both have reasonable rates, Bill! My well will only cost electricity as I ain't going to put any improvements into it. I have a spare pump if that 30+ year old Craftsman gives out! If the pressure tank gives out the pump will get run harder. If the foot valve quits, I'll plumb the pump to prime with a hose from the house water. Never going to do a foot valve again! That sucked and I was a lot younger!

We don't have sewer yet either. The sanitary district is trying to shove a pressurized sewer system down our throats and they are probably going to succeed. Reasons I don't like it are 2 big ones. I retired from a wastewater plant 2 years ago. I know the quality of pumps that a entity gets with the low bid system. The pump and tank they install will become the financial responsibility of the landowner. Then they require the septic tank to be pumped, crushed and filled. I would prefer a valving system to use it for a backup when the cheap@$$ pump fails! Sorry about the rant!

Our last two bill were right at 3000 gallons as bill was $32.13. Very happy with that. We are on the end of a mile and 1/4 line so the line don't get refreshed every month. About once a year they stop by and will flush the line.
You are getting a great deal Rog! I'm sure if we used system water for outside purposes it would be much more than that.

My water is 7 dollars a thousand gallons. Plus whatever the initial fee is.

No sewer. I wish they would put it in though.
Looks like Aaron wins the cheapest water bill contest! Mine works out to be about 12 bucks per 1000 gallons. There is a monthly "admin" charge of $7.50 and a "well/tank" surcharge of $1.55 on top of the actual water total. There was no initial fee here.

Did my laundry in the house and headed to the shop. Looked like rain but I decided to spray weeds in the gravel anyway. Spectracide is supposed to be water proof in 15 minutes. used a whole gallon. Need to get more.

Built a new contraption to put on the shop hydrant from the well. Garden hose end for draining and of course if a hose is needed. The other end will connect to the sink faucet. Won't be able to finish that until the faucet gets here and I roll the sink into place.

No water heater out here so will try to rig it up where either way the lever is will get water. No drain either. I put a 5 gal bucket under the sink drain and haul it outside and dump it. Crude but some running water is still nice to have during the warm seasons. Just got to remember to drain the hydrant during the freezing season.

Had to move junk around to put Loree's car in the shop when she got home from work. Chance of large hail tonight. There was a wimpy thunderstorm that came through about 5:30, about 4 hours after I got done spraying weeds. It made a lot of noise but not much rain yet.

7.69 per 1000.View attachment 95787

Water in a shop is great. I have none in my little garage. Dad never put water in his either! It’s nice just to wash your hands!

My buddy has a little hose to rinse his cars off in the winter.
You have a price schedule for several years, Aaron! That's pretty nice!

34 years ago when my shop was built it was supposed to have a bathroom even. When the ditcher shot in the line to the septic tank, it was uphill! No floor drains and had to settle for just the hydrant for water. At least it was 32 years before I forgot to drain the hydrant allowing it to crack. Had shut it off, but never opened one of the ball valves allowing it to drain back into the ground. It is in the worst possible place for this country, the NW corner of the shop. Had to be that way due to the well to house service line location.

Sure would love floor drains to wash the floor but not possible. That's why vehicles have to stay outside during the winter. All the ice melting from them would cause a disaster in here.
