4getgto's Auctions finds..

I'd say MTD, Bill. That weed or grass graphic is on MTD stuff too. Don't look like it was used!

Yea don't think it was used much either. This is the kind of stuff that grabs my attention and most others shy away from the "old" stuff. Other than cleaning it up a little don't think I did anything to it. Runs like a clock. With a little care these blowers will last a (almost) lifetime. Belts, friction wheel and a bearing or two and not much else to go bad.

Picked up this Craftsman belt sander today. 9" disc 6" wide sanding belt and 3/4 hp motor. With a bunch of extra sand paper with it. Looks like a pretty good one. I'm using a HF now and its a total piece of crap.

Yea I have the Harbor Freight on Market place now. Might have pay someone to take it..
If it is priced well below HF, it might sell, Bill! Think I paid around 40-50 bucks for mine a lot of years ago. No clue what they cost now.

I got 20 bucks for my old HF benchtop drill press, but it wasn't advertised. A guy came and bought my old air compressor and saw it. I darn near threw it in with the deal but he offered 20.

Bought this Craftsman snowblower yesterday at auction. Looks to be in like new condition. 5hp overhead valve motor which is at least newer to what I usually find. By model number its under 10 years old. Most are the older flat heads. Needs carburetor work but that's ok considering the shape its in. Inside the barrel looks new with nippers on the tires yet so has very little use but someone obviously left gas sit in it. Now we got to "Think Snow" so I can sell them off. Sold one already this fall so that's a good thing..

Most of the motors they put on those sanders are the standard 3450 rpm motors. Way too fast for a belt or disc sander. Needs to be 1725 rpm. HF uses whatever they can get a truck load of cheap for their stuff. I have been trying to find a 1725 rpm double shaft 1/4 hp motor for several years. Have an older Foley-Bellsaw 8" disc and 1" vertical belt sander setup. Disc mounts on one end of the motor shaft and the drive for the belt on the other. Came with a 3450 motor and man can you burn wood with that. Motor went on something else so now have a tool with no motor.
