And more junk.

Thanks, will check them out. Have a couple small holes in the base of a waffle iron. Paddles are OK but the base has some issues. Just a real PITA to clean up as they are black. Have one a pair in the lye tank now. Will see if that takes the black off. Not paint this time either, oxidation and a little crud along with it.

I’m pretty good at filing manuals and receipts. My worst problem is registering things for the warranties. Most everything I’ve had over the years worked beyond the warranties so that wasn’t too bad.

Doug did you mention a return of your potential labor cost. I know most warranties won’t cover labor. I’ve had a few occasions where they were real happy about me doing my own repairs and sent me a check that was well worth it. Hope that patch works out well for you. I would run it until warm weather if it holds out.

That stuff doesn't cure black, Rog. It's a medium grey I would call it. Lightens up a bit as it cures.

That has got to be a first. File cabinet in a shop with real papers in it!
Yeah Chris! The one with papers is in my shop office. The others are out in the work bay.

I have 2 file cabinet drawers with manuals...one for tractors and tractor equipment, the other various product manuals. All the other 22 drawers loaded with all sorts of parts and junk!
Yeah sounds like me, Daniel! I do have quarts of oil in one of the file cabinets along with another drawer for garden tractor air filters. I better look in a couple of them as I can't remember what kind of junk is in them. Oh one had stuff like "instruments". Voltmeters dial indicators and mikes, things like that. One drawer has respirators for painting, gloves and other PPE. Guess I have 4 file cabinets out there.

I had to go to Walmart to pick up meds today so I also bought a couple of co detectors. I had been getting some headaches recently in the shop so it was probably that furnace. Looks like the leak is fixed for now, the detector out in the work bay is reading zero. Got one in the office too just in case the door doesn't seal well anymore. There is an exhaust fan in the office too that co could come through.

Found some a Bomgaars, a F&H store where Carolyn buys her bird seed. I can pull the black from another uncleaned pan to help cover the gray. I indicate on the ID tag if any repairs are made and where. Thanks for the tip, will probably try it out tomorrow.

You're welcome, Rog. We have been in the Bomgaars in Aberdeen, SD where our daughter lives. We already have 3 farm and ranch stores here in Rapid City, so we may not get a Bomgaars here. There are two within 50 miles though! Hot Springs and Spearfish!

That 1000° JB Weld worked great. Fill a dime size hole and it didn't sag out. Need to sand it down some now.

Lot of those F&H companies are in a buyers group to buy in quantity for better prices. Also agree on certain distances or populations as far as invading another's selling territory. A WalMart building was empty due to a new store. I contacted Bomgaars to put a store in that building. At the time they were in the same buyers group as the F&H store in the same town. TS went in 1/2 of the WalMart, Bomgaars bought out the F&H and put their store in that location. Worked out well, as we have both, TS and Bomgaars. I don't see how either make anything on clothes though with a super WalMart 1/4 mile away.

For a long time we had to drive almost an hour to the closest HF. We still have that one along with two more within a 20 minute drive one south and one north of us. We also now have two more TSC in the same area all this happened within two years.

Runnings is still the farm and ranch store I like best around here. Fleet Farm is so huge that it's tiring to walk from one end to another and Tractor Supply seems a bit more expensive. I started getting my jeans and jackets and even a flannel shirt now and then at Runnings. They moved into the old Sam's club years ago. There is a super walmart right across the street. HF opened up in the building Runnings moved out of.

I have had good luck with pants and shirts from Daluth Trading Co. Just a bit more expensive but can get pants with full elastic waist band and wear real good. I get the lined pants when on sale in the spring and about the same price a TS. Don't do jeans much any more, mostly kakies, etc. with suspenders. Don't like the belt around my waist like I used to.

I still wear Wranglers. Hard habit for me to change. Back when I weighed around 240 I wore suspenders for a few years. Then again for another year after they cut my gut open for surgery I lost 65 pounds then but couldn't cinch up a belt around my gut. Put 40 back on---LOL!

Glad that JB Weld worked for you, Rog!

I still wear Wranglers and a fleece mostly in the winter then colored tee shirts mostly in the summer along with the long sleeve UV shirts in the heat. I use to wear Liberty Bell bibs a lot but they started making junk. I think I could get both legs in one and the hardware never lasted long. I seen a guy about my age wearing a pair of bibs that looked well made and not twice the material. I stopped him and they were called Roundhouse and he was really satisfied with them. I’ve found them online but that’s too risky without trying them on first.

I don't change my clothes habits during the seasons, except adding some bibs. When I wear out a pair of bibs I keep the hardware. Leanred not to put them in the dryer at work as that was where the hardware usually would break. Just have "Key" brand from Runnings. I wear jeans and a t-shirt year-round, and even wash them occasionally---LOL! I add a flannel shirt over the t-shirt during the winter.

Sounds like they may be going green!
