I did get the front separated from the transmission
I did get most of the front axle apart. I was surprised that there are tapered roller bearings
They are held on with a eccentric locking collar. The one on the left side was very dry and will need replacement. Who ever owned this tractor did not want to grease the left side. The steering is quite different all the time rods connect to a plate under the tractor and held on by a snap ring.
The center bolt for the front axle is seized in the bushing. It will turn around but will not come out. I had to go pickup a sledge hammer since I can't find my other one. If that doesn't work I will have to cut the bolt twice with a sazall
