I've been to Portage once. Over an hour drive north of me. Your drive is far greater.Loaded up for Portage WI, taking off Friday morning. I know take lots of pictures. I will be back on the Allis next week.View attachment 96361
Tonight was spent sand blasting the variable speed pulleys and painted.
I also repainted one side of the main back frame.
I plan on getting it bolted to the transmission tomorrow and then bolt on the 90degree gear box
The rear lift and tiller drive have been a pain. The shaft the pulleys are mounted on is to turn on the shaft the lift pivots.
It took lots of heat and hitting with a hammer and punch to get them separated. I am still working on the left side. Hopefully get it done this weekend and start working on the front orange section.

After I had these mounted up I tried to get the front tires for the Economy broken off the bead to install tubes. I ended up taking them to my buddies house and using his tire machine. The tire machine struggled but the bead finally broke and tubes are in a long with new wheel bearings and seals.
Once I finish up the wiring it can move on its own. I do need to drain the transmission and rear axle oil and replace with fresh oil. The next issue is removing these 2 bars that come out of the back.
The prior owner had a spray tank mounted on them. There is a bolt that holds them on I have removed and tried to pull them out but they will not budge.
The front center of the hood has a plate that was riveted in to cover the headlight holes. I went and painted the back white to match the color of the hood and then cleared over the black with the Allis decal.
I plan on using machine screws and lock nuts vs rivets. Now it is time to work on the front frame and get it repainted along with the front axle.I would bolt a bar across both bars sticking out and use a portapower to try breaking them loseBetween the rain storms and the heat afterwards I made a little progress. Tomorrow I plan to prime the Allis hood and then start sanding it for paint.
I do not have a portapower, I am thinking of using a bottle jack instead and a bolt or weld on a piece the jack can press against. I need to make sure there is just one bolt holding them in, it looks like one bolt for the fender goes through the outer bar.I would bolt a bar across both bars sticking out and use a portapower to try breaking them lose
