New Truck Styles

My '04 Chevy is paid for with 214K on it. Maintenance is kept up on it. Every 3K oil and filter with Hi Ileage oil. Still don't use but a pint/change. Did notice the RR door sill was rusting out fairly bad. Cleaned it out good a filled it with spray foam. Trimmed it off and painted it black to match the truck. Can't see it with the door closed. I'll drive it till it dies a hard death. Van will be paid for in a year and no more car payments.

DiL just bought a Honda Pilot for family truckster. Very nice and huge interior

Those seem like a good choice too. I'm still looking at other options. I prefer imports over domestics. Toyota highland, Honda pilot, and Nissan armada are some others I am going to check out.

I am probably not going to make a move till spring. Enjoy another half a year of no vehicle payments before I take on another 36 months of a payment book.

We still have our Chevy 1997 K2500 4x4 pickup truck. Extended cab, 8ft bed.
Had it for 9 years. Has been an east coast plow truck most of its life, so pretty rusty underneath.
Went to look at new trucks some time ago. Told the sales guy the MUST HAVEs: 8ft bed, 4x4, nothing too fancy (work truck or just above).
He pulled up everything except the things what I asked for.....I walked out again.

My wife stays in the newer vehicles, I drive the old beaters. She has a lot further to drive to work, 50 mile round trip up into the hills, I have 1.7 miles of flat land. She bought our first ever brand-new ride earlier this year. It's a 2021 Chevy Equinox. She did the shopping and the deal and loves it. They would only give her 3200 for the '06 Denali so we kept it too.

My other trucks are older than Aaron and one is older than me, by one year---LOL!

This one I showed is 4 wheel drive. Tow rating is 4000 lbs. Not enough for me right now.
Im going by the dealer on my way to spilt wood at sons place. I’ll get some pictures. He says it’s out front on display.

Some pictures of maverick, at sons work. Colour is cactus grey. This one is 2.0 litre engine. Hybrid can only haul 1500 lbs.

That little truck fills quite a gap

The new small trucks are too big. Colorado and Ranger anyway. I parked my 99 ranger next to a 2020 ranger and it was dwarfed.

Small. 2000lb pay load and 4000lb towing capacity..that would satisfy me. If the pricing structure is right a full loaded one would be under 30k, and a base model would be around 20. That fits in with old ranger pricing. My dad paid around 10k for the base 2x4 ranger I still have in 2000.

I dont like the idea of it not having a full frame but no many vehicles do these days.

I bought this 2020 a year ago last spring, 14k miles on it now: HPIM2934.JPG

Hadn't planned to buy new, but circumstances warranted it! I had a 2013 w/90k miles on it that was in good shape that I traded in: HPIM4317.JPG

Wanted Chevy, so I started an internet search one evening, closest dealer had one, white, didn't want white. Next closest dealer had one white & one black, didn't want black either. Third dealer 50 miles away had this one & one more. This was a Friday evening, I decided if pickups were in that short supply, I'd better go check on it Saturday, bought it that day, picked it up Tuesday evening.

It never entered my mind when I started looking that the supply was so limited!
