What are you currently working on??

Don’t usually wake mine up until Thanksgiving. Need the tractor for leaf clean up until then. Trying to change that though and a few new pieces to allow the 235 to rest in Winter.

i had to do a one day axle to diff mod on the Rover Rancher 2 , the 1st thing was to strip all the unnessercery parts and straight axle outIMG_20180913_110550.jpg that meant cutting out the mechanical disc brake as well , all the parts i will keep as i got another Rancher 2 i want to restore back to original look .
here is the Bolens ST 120 diff just set in place with the same drive belt set ready to make mounts for ,IMG_20180913_110608.jpg then 2 pieces of 1-1/2" angle steel 3 " long done it nicelyIMG_20180913_110635.jpg and the front heel & toe linkage coupled to my pedal after a 3" extension no other mods to that bit ,

this is the front support mount plate for the diff i welded in and drilled IMG_20180913_121405.jpg IMG_20180913_110654.jpgand a pix of the tractor in limbo , the diff set ready to mount ,had to replace a tube in the 12" tyre and sleeve the tyre wall and top the oil tank with oil ,

All is done and finished an workin well , it's way different to the belt clutch system an gears IMG_20180914_093307.jpg the mod itself was very easy for a change ,

it took me longer to ponder what diff i was going to use than to strip and replace it , i had the option of the bolens st120 hydrostatic or a 5sp transaxle , the hydro won

Looks good! I like hydro's for most work. Gear drive for a tiller, though.

After working on the Onan yesterday morning I started on the Bolens EK. Cleaned the gas tank, new lines & filter, Aadded 1/2 cup of oil, checked for fire and looked good. Fresh gas, full choke, key on hit, the starter and after about 4 turns it fired and ran. Let it run for a while, different speeds. Had some smoke but think that will clear up with some use. Cleaned up a few things, greased it good, tubes in tires, etc.. This morning I found some problems. Brake pad is wore out. Clutch/brake pedal return spring was not hooked up. Cast aluminum pedal bracket was broke. Next step it to find a welder that does aluminum that is not snowed under. Looking harvest right in the eye around here so the farmers that have stuff that's been broke since last fall fixed yesterday.

My tiller is self powered on a Bolens G16. The gear drive works great as I have individual control over the ground speed and the tiller does not push the tractor. This is a sears tiller on a sleeve hitch winch for lifting and lowering. The tractor driven Bolens till runs a bit to slow to do a good job of tilling in my opinion.

Seems my son and Sears have a love-hate relationship, it almost always breaks when he uses it. Yesterday it was the plastic steering wheel. We knew it had a crack, let lose while he was mowing our steep hill. I was able to spread it enough with out completely breaking to get it off the center steel insert. Then i spent about 45 mins with a gear puller, hammer and some heat to get insert off steering shaft. Now that it's off, I can clean everything up and glue them back together.

Any ideas on bet adhesive? I'm thinking fiberglass resin or a 2 part epoxy.

Son may need some lessons and practice. Your fix looks like it should work great - till son get hold of it again. Good luck.

Picked up a wheelhorse 516H with a bad Eaton 700. Looks like someone broke the cooling fan off and kept running it. Got a good Eaton 1100 in on the deal so easy conversion. Wheelhorse made it easy to change over just need a couple pieces from a 520H. Readily available. P216 performer runs great and the rest of the GT in nice condition.
