What did you do with your tractor today?

To get decent cell service I have to walk across the road to get on the other side of the power lines. Then face the SE and slowly turn till I get the most bars. Turn 90° either way and I lose the signal. About 6–8-mile circle around here that unless you're on top of a hill cell service is unreliable. Has something to do with the magnetic ground in the earth. Ran into this 45-50 years ago with 2 way radio use in another part of the state.

Seat time on a classic tractor, Nick! Doesn't get much better than that!

Agreed Dac! I had some too tonight when I got home from dialysis. I took the hydro out for a little spin up and down the side of the side road. When nobody was comin… which was only one car, I took a few pictures.

Very cool ride with nice pics, Eric! Nice burnout too---LOL! Beautiful area you live in. Those Connecticut fires aren't affecting you?

Thanks Dac, those burnout marks were just “screamin” for me to do a picture with the tractor. They were there before I got there though, and I believe I even heard the car that did em the other night too. We have at least 3 other car enthusiasts besides us who live in my neck a the woods and we hear them do burnouts every now and then. I live on the main road (which kinda stinks) but more in the suburbs, I guess you can say part of town. I live across from an old orchard and theres about 6 farms within a half mile to a mile from me, and we see a few tractors go by our house here and there too sometimes. I keep meanin to get a picture or 2 of around where I live but I keep forgettin, although I can post a video that a random fellow took and posted on youtube that I found about a month ago. Regarding the fires, thank you for asking about those. We are ok here thank goodness, and it is nearby in town but not really affecting my part. Its to the south of us and on the next towns line. We did hear the firetrucks go by, heard the helicopters fly over our house, and saw the haze from the smoke a couple days ago in the air but thats pretty much it. We don’t have any rain lately so that don’t really help either unfortunately, and there ain’t none in the next comin week either. Heres a video of my town if you have 5 minutes….

Nice pics Eric and nice road. We have an ex Sheriff that lives down the road from us, he lives back away from the road. The road in front of his place is almost black from burnouts. He use to be hard on those guys now they all do it to aggravate him.

Last I used the tractor and loader was this past Wednesday. Rolled a BIG pumpkin into the bucket to get in the back of my pickup. Don't know what they average but I know I can't lift them, and I still handle 50 lb bags of feed. Delivered to the bank in town. Rolled it off the tailgate onto 2 rear GT tires. One of the gals met me at the door. They had a place for it, I suggested to roll it. shorter hefty gal said hold the door I'll get it. She picked that pumpkin up and carried it about 20 feet and set it down gently on the floor. All I could do was stand there and hold the door for her. I told her she was a lot better person than I was. She said she was probably 60 years younger too. I said but I have learned a lot more and one thing was you don't try to lift 70+ lb. pumpkins when your over 80 years old. We laughed and thanked each other I left with my tail between my legs.

Sounds like a person doesn't want to mess with her, Rog! About 50# is my limit too and I have quite a ways to go to reach 80.

When she said hold the door and I will get it I thought Ya, Right. I would like to weigh a couple of the biggest ones just to know what they do weigh.
She is probably used to lugging kids around, heavy backpacks and all those things that young Mom's have to do nowadays, Rog! Sometimes my wife's strength surprises me still!

Back home, pain stimulator is in but not turned on yet. Don't want it to infer fear with the healing of the incisions for the implant. 1.5 hr late getting in for surgery. Was set for 11 and left the room at 12:35. 1:45 was back to the room. No pain but know it is there. going to go watch a ball game and take a nap probably,

So far so good, Rog! Reast easy. That thing is going to work great when you can turn it on!

Stiff and sore this morning. Slept in my recliner part of the night. Sleeping off and on today. Vertigo is giving me fits today. Bad enough having to move slow and easy without dizziness getting involved. Sure would be nice to have some pain pills besides Tylenol. Need to get the battery out and get it charged. Takes a Li-Ion battery about 3/4" thick and 4"X 5" with built in charger that needs to be charged up. Remove the plug from AC, plug in the magnetic cord and stick it to my side or hold it close, turn charge on, on the remote and charge the module under my skin on my back. More high trch crap to deal with but if it work like the trial I will put up with it, no problem. I may B$*@h a lot but will keep using it.

How long before you can actually put it in service, Rog?

The rep said he would call on Monday, Nov 4th and activate it. He programed it while I was in recovery. I can control it from no stimulation to what is set at max stimulation. Max, I can feel it go clear down to my toes. Weird feeling about like a real low battery on an electric fence.

I feel for you Roger. Living with pain 24 hours a day gets old pretty quick.
I knew 2 guys personally that dealt with back and neck pain for years on end....One guy decided it wasn't worth it anymore and ended it all. That's when you know things were bad...

That thing has some good kick to it Rog! Dad wore a similar device but it was primitive. He would crank up that hard wired remote he wore on his belt when he was really hurting. He described it similar.

I'm still chickening out of doing my back surgery.
