What did you do with your tractor today?

I got my 126, 149, 1810, and 1450 running this weekend and took them each for a ride. I haven’t used any of them since October, the 1810 was sitting even longer. The 126 and 149 are ready to go to cut grass, which I will probably need to do in the next week or two. I might put the mower deck back on the 1810 too, but I have to replace a spindle on it first.

We had a couple good rains in the past week. So I filled the roller and rolled the yard after each one.
Used the Roper to pull the roller.
The Village reworked the alley by the shop. So i rolled it also. Tried to get them to add some more gravel. But it wasn’t on thier agenda. Lived here 28 years, only the 2nd time they have messed with it. Usually every summer I go to the village lot and bring back buckets of gravel to throw in the pot holes/low spots.

Wow, you have a village lot to go get gravel, Rick? This "village" charges for every little thing. Cheaper to go buy small quantities at a lumber yard down the road than deal with them.

They have several piles of different size rock and a sand pile. It is not for the public.
But I go get what needs to go in the alley. Don’t ask, just do. Village superintendent has repeatedly told me that they do not maintain alleys. So I do it myself. Only once was anything said about it. I reminded them they do not maintain alleys, and the five residences using that alley pay taxes.

Good for you, Rick! I don't live in town, but the alleys are almost in better shape than the streets---LOL! That ain't saying much though!
