What did you do with your tractor today?

used the home made tractor to snig a log to where i wanted it but the clutch belt decided to strip itself out so unhooked the chain and limped it back up into the shed for a belt replacement ( which is now done )then used the rancher 2 to finish the job , i love that little tractor it works so hard for me and never failes

Even though there was standing water in low spots in the driveway, the 4 tons of gravel I ordered was right on time this morning at 9am. That doesn't go very far but that was all we could afford right now. Me and the MF8E got about a 4 hour workout spreading and smoothing. Tractor only had one incident but I'm darn tired. Hand shoveled four yard cart loads and hauled them to smaller areas that needed some help, then worked on getting everything fairly leveled off. The muffler broke around the factory attachment but it's weldable. I just need to go get the welder bottle filled. Stopped after the first pile was flattened out somewhat, filled with gas and I drank some water then right back after it again. Done about 2pm and had lunch. Should have kept the shop door shut with all the leaves that blew in!

What !! No mowing Monday update. Hehe. Driveway looks good Doug. My garage does the same thing, if I leave the big door open , in come the leafs. I take the air gun and blow them back out, but just seem to circle back in. Which way is your door pointing Doug. Mines pointing to the northeast.

I think "mowing Monday" is a thing of the past for about the next 6 months, maybe longer! The door faces south. The wind from the north swirls in front of the shop so it seems to be coming from every direction at once! I tried the leaf blower but they blew right back in. Ended up using the old fashioned broom!

Made some new enemies with the Moto mower

Beavers in pond again at home farm, they received a ‘tude adjustment from me. Ripped dam out with pike pole to get it gone so dam for pond doesn’t get washed out and cut off water supply for barns.

Moto mower was just a convenient way to get there, didn’t feel like walking even though the pond is basically within spittin distance of barn I keep tractors in

Just so you have an idea how big the flow is, normally it’s a trickle, and we got 2” of rain last night. It’s likely almost knee deep and moving FAST

Looks like you could have used a blade for that. Sure doesn't look like 4 tons.

Looks like a great machine for this sort of thing, Larry!

Front blade is all I have. I've got 3 different drags too but didn't feel dragging was needed. The old MF8E does a lot better job of back-dragging now that the blade floats. There was two piles. One out by the road and one near the shop. 2 tons each pile. We got what we could for now.

I took tractor home. Was at my sons place for the last few months. Took the tiller off the other day, So the newly painted snow thrower will be going on soon. Have to do a little service to the tractor. And put the doors back on.

Stay tuned for the hit show, Tractor Comes Home, coming to a tractor site firmilar to you. !!!!!

Used Frankie and MF 12 to make a drain beside the new lean to. Ground is all down hill a little toward the lean to. So I was gunna do this before. So today was the day. Found the ground on one side of the first post was washed down from rain. Any way. Hopefully this will help.

in the last week ,used the rancher 2 with moldboard and rolled the main section of garden , going across the hill i rolled the dirt up hillside , then riged harrowed between the rows to rid tiny grass just breaking through

i harrowed the next row section ,Drew 1 row with the disc hillers and planted 1/2 row of rocket and other 1/2 of mild radish and also drew a 2nd row and planted at one end 9 potato shooting sections i had cut and healed for 3 days , the only spuds i hade with shoots on ,not to waste them . a little seat time and i enjoyed it

Was going to do some clean up today. Started with blowing the leaves from in fron, down the drive and off the side in a pile. Set a match to them and they burned. Took a coffee break and when I went back out the sidewalk was damp. So much for burning the garden off and plowing it. No hunting this evening either. I hunt for the fun of it, not punishment.

why don't you mulch all the leaves and waste and turn it back into garden food , the plants will love you for it ;)
