What did you do with your tractor today?

More loader work. Jumpins, it’s some handy. Things I’ve been wanting to do for years are now done. Loader tractor has been in service for three weeks now, 8 hours put on the tractor. :):)

I finished mowing what didn't get finished a week ago when the tractor would only run on level ground. Had another 0.07" of rain last evening so bare ground is muddy tis morning. My knee was really bothering yesterday so I knew some weather change was in the making and it was right as usual.

I have to mow the pasture padlocks for the livestock today after 3-days of on/off rains. It's not mowing like one would think. I set the 3-point mower between 6 and 8 inches off the ground. Then mow to lop off all the weeds trying to make seeds. It's pasture maintenance really.

Got the mowing/trimming done at my place and did it at my grandson’s also. Used the Kubota for my yard and the Wheel Horse at the grandson’s. He is hampered with a meniscus tear in his left knee. He isn’t supposed to be doing anything so I have stepped in for him until everything is taken care of.

Tell your grandson to take it real easy and don't get to anxious to doing things. My right knee is just plain wore out. No lubrication in the joint to speak of. Knee brace all the time, and uneven ground is a real killer. Cane or walking stick is my best Friend right now. Injection is starting to work better all the time.

I took my MF12H with tiller to my daughters to till up a garden area. Had some minor ignition issues once they were sorted out it did not take long. This was a patch of lawn that had never been tilled before. It was slow going on the first pass with a few tree roots but the 2nd and 3rd pass were much easier. I forgot to get the phone out and take pictures.

They work nice a MF 12 and tiller.

Nothing. Little cleanup and few little things that needed doing. Used the Ranger as it is so much handier than getting a tractor & trailer out.. Had graduation party for granddaughter yesterday evening. Graduation today, Carolyn is going but my knee is giving me fits this morning with the light rain Just don't want to settle down so I won't be moving much today.

Over the past couple weeks, I have been cleaning up and getting rid of this log pile. This is all left over from when we cleared to build the garage in 2014. Surprisingly there were still a few good pieces of firewood there, but most of it was so rotted it just broke up.
IMG_9937.jpegIMG_9943.jpeg
The good ones got split, the rest was loaded on the trailer and dumped in the woods. There was about 10 loads all together.
IMG_0227.jpeg
I started out using my 8n with the back blade to pull the logs off the pile. IMG_0230.jpeg
Sunday I got the last of the logs hauled out, then yesterday I used my 125 and started to level the area. It was a little too wet, so I will have to let it dry for a few days before I can finish.

Next job is tearing down what’s left of the old woodshed.

Actually I helped him put the pile there too. And it was quite a bit bigger, we burnt a lot of it. He cut it all up, but I helped load and unload the trailer to haul it there.

Each Memorial Day a local orginization puts flags along the roadway through town. Illinois State Route 1 goes through town for about 1&1/2 miles. Put a flag about every 10 feet. Today Edy and I helped gather them up.
My knee won t take that much walking. I bolted a bucket to the Massey Executive and rode it alongside and pulled up a flag as I rolled by. Get a bucket full then hand them off to someone with a large tote on a golf cart.
There were 4 teams of us, so each only had to do about 3/4 mile. Took about a half hour.
