Very weak spark without.  Almost a tickle.


Even less if it's shorted or shorting.


Also, make sure you clean the pickups on the mag and the magnets with a little Emory cloth.  Rust will cause issues.  
 
Nope. Got another coil to try tomorrow. Cranks over good. That big starter button is working good. Need to make sure the kill switch isn't grounding all the time.
 
You were the only one interested in it. I had asked for some help a couple times and got none. I may just delete the whole thread.


I'm up because Steve is in the hospital. Had emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage. I'll go up in the morning to see him.
 
I have a bud who has gone thru that a couple of times.  Had troubles all his life.


Finally went to Cleveland Clinic.  They seem to have straightened him out.

Houston, we have fire and ignition! You can see the flywheel spinning! Starts real easy!

Time to get the hi/lo lever finish welded and back in to try out the drive!


I had to take out the starter button and wire in a solenoid. It would not work this morning. But this is working great! Need a 'dancing banana' !!!!





Also, getting a lot of 'Upload Failed' issues with the first pics!
