Le roi two cylinder

Doug, this engine could still fire both cylinders at the same time. Almost all the twins on the market today from Kohler to Harley-Davidson. Does this engine fire on every revolution even though it's on the exhaust stroke?

Well.........If you have an engine "firing" on the exhaust stroke, you have other problems. On those systems there is a spark at the plug but no fire. These engines could run like that but weren't originally designed that way. The original mag has a distributor built into it.

Been sidelined on this project for awhile, finally decided to do it myself, bought some phenolic on eBay and some new dremmel accessories, gonna cut the adapter myself, worst case I got some new tools and am out $12 in material.

I'll have to check their store when I get a chance. I think round stock would be easier to work with for the coupler. I'm not sure you want a base made of the phenolic. The mag has to ground to the engine. Maybe run a ground wire?

Base will be steel, might go with round stock for the other side, the fairbanks mag is bigger than the corresponding part on the engine.

Just a small update, with shows being cancelled this year as well as initially not knowing if I'd still be able to purchase parts this project has been sidelined, might pick back up on it this fall.
