What are you currently working on??

In price Utah at lila canyon mine. We are putting in a new tail piece on 3 belt and pulling on 2000' feet of new belt.

Flew out into salt lake city on sunday and flying out next Saturday

Sounds like a good job! What are they mining there? We drove through a huge phosphate mine north of Vernal Utah last September.

I didn't do a lot today, piddled with some final clean up on the floor. Took sick leave today as I had to get a broken tooth pulled at noon.

Glad to know some coal mining is still doing well! About a month ago a coal mine near Gillette, WY suddenly closed sending 600 people down the road with basically no warning. It was the closest mine to here and supplied coal for a good bit of the electrical generation in our area. The electric bill will probably reflect the added transportation cost now!

We are hiring constantly. I'm part of the new mechanic training group. We have 20 people we are training. Ran 20 through before this group. I took 3 of them with me to utah.

We bought 2 more mines 2 months ago. Give us like 14 operations right now.

More mines all the time are burning the coal on sight and selling the electricity. Don

Watered the garden good yesterday morning. Carolyn watered her flowers. Picked 6 nice cucs from one plant. Had the first batch of cuc and onion slices in vinegar last night for supper. Yum, Yum !! To hot to work on anything outside today. Back in the basement moving stuff to be ready for the contractor in a week.

Your cucumbers really sound good. Never had them with onions and vinegar.

Here too but for some reason I just can't stay in the house. This is the first year in a long time that I've worn shorts outside but they sure make a difference. I've got white chicken legs but at least they aren't sweaty.

When I wear shorts people go snow blind. Don

Weds evening I did a bunch of parts cleanup on the purple Sears. Thursday evening I welded up some of the worn shafts like clutch and idle pulley rod. Grind off the weld and shaft is like new. I would have gotten more done, but my niece brought her kids over to look at the rabbits he's taking to fair so I didnt get anymore done. Hopefully I can now get some more painting done and get this tractor back together
