The steel wrapped wooden bodies GM used is the biggest reason I stay away from them. I'm not a wood worker and don't enjoy it.
Funny that Chrysler was one of the first to go all steel bodies but ran wooden wheels for years afterwards.

I have it on the road doing test drives and breaking in the front suspension so I can get it aligned. I am not putting on the fenders or running boards. Linda gets in and out much easier this way and we both like the looks of it. Still have a lot of little things to do but at least we can drive it now. I definitely need to assess the tire sizes and wheels.

Ok, I am Looking for opinions, I have been having thoughts about putting the top portion of the hood on the 34.
I put a quick primer coat on one of the top parts and laid it in place. Input would be nice.

I will need to drive it with and without the hood section to decide.
Probably several times in each configuration.
