B.E. made steam shovels back in the day, there is also a connection with Britain, they have Bucyrus Rushton, who also made steam shovels.Very cool look back in the day, Jake! What little I know of Bucyrus sounds like they build tough long lasting machinery.

I was thinking my Son's was diesel. I will have to check with him and see what size it was and gas or diesel. I remember it looking like yours. Especially the blade and lift arms. Was thinking it was diesel Nick but yea spark plug holes are for sure.
Probably two different head gaskets..although IH had some unique motors back then.I was thinking my Son's was diesel. I will have to check with him and see what size it was and gas or diesel. I remember it looking like yours. Especially the blade and lift arms.
Thanks Chris.I'll see if it's still hanging where I remember it being. You can have it for the postage if it's the right one for your needs.
It is gas. T9 was gas, TD9 was the diesel version. Was thinking it was diesel Nick but yea spark plug holes are for sure.
There was also a T6/TD6 that looked similar, but was a little smaller.I was thinking my Son's was diesel. I will have to check with him and see what size it was and gas or diesel. I remember it looking like yours. Especially the blade and lift arms.
Yeah, I would guess they probably are different.Probably two different head gaskets..although IH had some unique motors back then.
You’re right, like starting on gas and then switching over to diesel. Seems like my brother in-law had a M or Super MD that did that. He called it a low compression diesel.Probably two different head gaskets..although IH had some unique motors back then.
Yea that's the one I was thinking about. Still don't know how that worked..You’re right, like starting on gas and then switching over to diesel. Seems like my brother in-law had a M or Super MD that did that. He called it a low compression diesel.
