And more junk.

Was thinking a channel for the front axle to sit in with to pin to drop down into the lift pockets. About the same on the back, channel for the frame to it is and pins down into the lift arms. Don't think it would take to much to get-r- done.
This is a 4 post lift, so no pockets or arms, Roger. I am thinking but it will still be best to brainstorm it once it is here.

4 post - that took care of my idea didn't it. When the dealer did the rear brakes on the van they had a separate lift that slide on the main lift rains. Slide it under the rear axle, couple of blocks in place and lifted the vehicle about 3" to remove the rear wheel and work on the brakes. My be more costly that viable.

Yes, Jason, this lift comes with a jack tray for floor or bottle jacks. They do sell a purpose-built jack for this lift too, Roger, but didn't want to spend another 1200 bucks right now. It does look like a real nice jack setup though. It may have to happen after the lift is paid for.

An idea for you Doug.

Got an email today from YRC Carriers and it said the lift might be here as soon as this coming Wednesday! Problem is with sub zero temps, there will be no installation until it warms up. Guess it can just stay on the trailer and I will cover it up with a tarp. I actually expect it more like Friday with this bad weather between Texas and here. I'll take the trailer to work Sunday and leave it. Things are moving quicker than I expected!

Checked the shipping on the lift today. It left Fort Worth and is on route to Denver. It may make it to Denver maybe even Cheyenne but between there and here is a blizzard and from what "they" describe, pretty sure blizzard is a better more accurate for our approaching winter storm.

I went to Fleet Farm and got 2-2 gallon jugs of AW 32 hydraulic oil today since I was in town for a couple of doc appointments. Only needed 3 but it's hard to find gallons it seems.

Also, I ordered one of those oil dollys from HF. The local store had none but I got it about 10 bucks cheaper on line anyway!

Nice Doug, but I have a suggestion. Get the plastic extension to set on top. It’s a lot wider and it helps from spilling oil on floor. Believe me, you will spill oil.

I'll bet your really looking forward to getting this hoist. I know I would be.
Yup, it will be nice, Chris. a lot of work will have to happen to arrange the shop again once it is in here, but it will be worth it.

I ordered a 24" one for now, Noel, thanks to your reminder. I do know that from our oil dolly at work. It has an extension pan in it too. First vehicle that needs service is the '72 GMC.

The lift has made it to Denver. Guess I will see in the morning if it left there. Can't see it getting here tomorrow as they have to drive through the biggest part of this storm to get here. I'm guessing I-25 will be closing north of Cheyenne, and I-80 east and west out of Cheyenne too. That doesn't count the 250 miles of two lane roads that they will have to drive either.

Lift is still in Denver, thankfully. I really can't see them getting here tomorrow either. 400 miles of bad weather. I would prefer Monday, even though it's my day off. I will have a chance to plow snow here and the delivery area at work should be clear too.

Lift didn't leave Denver yet. Denver area only got 3-5 inches but north of there in Eastern Wyoming and western Nebraska many roads were closed, including I-25 north from Cheyenne. That is probably the route the trucker would be taking to get here. Don't know if it has opened yet.
