And more junk.

I was up then also but I was chasing the cows back into the feedlot. Then I had coffee, checked Tractor Fanatics, and watched some Youtube video's until I went to sleep. Normally when I'm up at that time its to take a leak.

Nice looking decal Doug.

Noel
Not a decal yet, Noel. Just designed. I'll get to that later.

Noel what the heck are you doing up this time of day?
He does that all the time!

That tail looks professionally done. My wife has a Cricket (sp?) and is pretty good with it but not nearly up to your standards.
I was in the sign business for over 30 years, Chris. It was my job to make logos and good layouts look professional. Think it is spelled Cricut. They are pretty capable little machines!

God job Doug nice idea with the MF design. My shop clock went bad awhile back and I’ve been wanting to make a clock using a B&S engine shroud with the clock face in the stator hole. I like the ideas of using the tractor colors and decals on unusual items.
I've got so many clocks around here, I don't even know which ones might work and which don't. Someone ought to "clock" me upside the head---LOL!

Exactly the reason I was up at 3:30am. Not my favorite happening ☹️
Dang Chris, I get up to pee about that time! Go back to sleep ok. Sometimes a couple of tylenol then too. Laying in bed is about the only time I don't hurt too much.

hehe. Well. Some nites I just can’t sleep. So I drink coffee. Hehe. Then after a while I go back to sleep. Hehe.

Noel
If you can go back to sleep after drinking coffee, I think you are using decaf with a big shot of whiskey in it, Noel!

Didn't get to cut those stickers yet. Woke up to no water this morning. I was hoping the infra red heat lamp in the well house burned out. It usually freezes the pressure switch first fooling the pump into thinking that the tank is pressurized. It is on a thermostat set to turn it on at 38F. That is what happened. Loree called me after I got the bulb replaced and said that she thought the water pressure was too low this morning when she went to work. Told her she was right. What else would you tell a woman anyway---LOL! Just after we got done talking, the water came back just fine. Took about an hour for it to come back on. Decided I better make a "redundancy" system. That was the last bulb I had on hand so went to Ace Hardware and got 4 more bulbs (250w IR) and another lamp fixture. One of those 250w rated fixtures for chickens.

I already had another 35F thermostat switch so was able to use both switches with the new heat lamp added. "They" say tomorrow will be the last day in several weeks where the high temp gets above freezing! Some of the highs won't be above zeroF!

Why didn't I move south years ago?

Then our daughter wants me to make a "heated cat shelter" in case the missing cat is still kicking and comes around with the plummeting temperatures. She said to use the cat's litterbox. I'm working on that too. Hard to tell the little almost 33 year old girl no. Last time the cat was seen was about 10 days ago and she ran off over a month ago.

You posted while I was typing, CJet. I can understand being pumped up after chasing cows in the middle of the night, but drinking coffee on top of it would keep me wound up! I tried that to warm up after being called out at work on frigid nights and there was no sense even attempting to try to sleep again. Taking a leak around that time of night is a normal routine!

Like Roger, I don't really care for hot tea but like unsweetened iced tea. Just usually drink water during the day.

Less than a year into a Medicare Advantage plan I already hit a snag. Blue Cross Blue Shield and my pharmacy of 40 years didn't get a contract together so I had to change my prescription service. Much as i hated too I switched it to the southside Wal-Mart as it is very easy to get too. Once you are there it is a zoo like every other Wal-Mart but the drive is much better than going into town to other pharmacies in the plan. No pricing difference. It's right on the edge of town and there won't be any business expansion past it as the dump covers the land south and east of it. That took several hours on the phone to get that mess squared away.

Got out to the shop and just did some much needed cleaning. Hopefully will cut some vinyl tomorrow. I'm streaming the "Chili Bowl Nationals" from Tulsa OK right now as I type. A friend of ours from Sturgis took a hard flip in his heat race about an hour ago and had to be transported to a local hospital. Corey Brink is in my thoughts and prayers. They said he was "awake and alert" but having serious pain in his shoulder and back.

Carolyn went with a plan from Etna the first of the year. Picked up 3 prescriptions yesterday and paid $0. NO premium either. I signed up for a Wellcare prescription drug plan the first of the year. Cost me $6/year premium and all my med except on is $5. VA meds are $8 and may go up this year. No delay of up to a week or more, if the med is sent out of Tenn. When it is sent out of Omaha it is still 3-4 days from the time they say they mail it till I actually get it. About a $24/month savings and we are in town a couple times a week anyway. It eliminates two middle people that way, main pharmacy and the USPS.

I'm not a veteran. I was 4F in the draft and just barely too young anyway. It wasn't until 1977 or so when the armed services started sending me letters to join one of the branches. 2 years out of high school. They liked my ASVAB scores all of a sudden! I had moved on and was engaged so never perused a tour or career in the military. Should have considered it more seriously.

Slowly getting all the online stuff done where I can just order my meds on the Wal-Mart website when refills are needed. The biggest hangup wasn't Wal-Mart, it was navigating the insurance online and then coordinating it with the doctors. I think it's going to work now. Pick up my first prescription Monday. Will see how that goes then I guess. My old pharmacy didn't have online ordering, so this way is better already. I have to drive by that Wal-Mart once a week as I get my allergy shots on the same street about 5 blocks past it. Our son works at that WM too.

Spent most of the day working on that, then did some work on the computer in the shop cutting the windmill stickers and started a design for some checkered graphics for a racecar.

The weather is horrible so no time besides walking to the house, or the mailbox is spent outside.

That looks good Doug it’s been too cold here too for shop work. Do those stickers need coated to weatherproof them.

I’m on two BP meds and one cholesterol med both cost 0 it’s automatically sent to the pharmacy from the doctor. If the refills have run out the pharmacy contacts the doctor for verification then it’s filled. Carol has several meds that work the same way but a few is straight from Humana’s pharmacy delivered by mail. She has one of those daily planners to put her meds in for each day. Sometimes it looks like a mini lab when she’s loading them up. I asked her one day which container has the anti bitchy pill in, she didn’t think that was as funny as I did. Two years ago Humana had a co pay of under $10. for each med but now there’s no cost.

I can work in my shop office, but can't get the lift bay warm enough for any work. I finally got it back up to 50 out there today as I'm trying not to let it freeze too hard out there.

All of the pills I have to take are 0 cost but the 2 "Tier3" asthma meds are 47 bucks a piece. Only one of them are monthly. The rescue inhaler is 24 bucks. They can last a long time as long as I stay up on the monthly one.

Sat at the computer and designed these racecar graphics today.

Ready to cut but there may be some minor resizing when I get the panels here to apply the vinyl.

I use an outdoor grade vinyl, Jim so no protection is needed. I don't remember if I ever applied lettering to something galvanized before though so the windmill tail is experimental as to how good they will stay stuck.

3 of my meds are tier 3, and due to Teresa having some inheritance money in the bank, I no longer get help with meds from the state, and they are $47 each. Now my meds are a total of nearly $200/month, where they used to be maybe a total of $30/month, and after a short time, met deductible and then $0. Oh well, still affordable for now.

When I was doing the custom model train cars I would hit them with a gloss coat before the stickers went on.
then used a powder to do the weathering but they were never exposed to the elements, just the cold in the winter when I shut the heat off overnight.

That is one more reason Carolyn and I stay in the civil union rather than married. Each have our separate accounts and neither income reflects on the other.
