There's a garden tractor/mower salvage up in PA that pretty much only deals in JD stuff. He drives far and wide hauling tons of JD stuff at a time on what I'd guess is a 30' gooseneck trailer....could have been him!
No this guy lives maybe 30 miles south of here. I think he went by the handle (tractor Tim) either on this site or the Garden Tractor forum. That's where we connected. He did a nice job of hauling stuff out of here. I flew down to his place one time to visit and he did have quite the stuff. Kind of affected me as the type of person who would like to hang onto things. He if got to know you I think he would be happy to help a person looking for something.
I remember looking at member maps on GTT and here before they went away! Probably on the GTT one was "Tim Tractor"! I bet it is the same guy. Don't remember him posting much, but it's cool he bought so much of your stuff, Chris!
For the mud we got drug through it better be a great rate, Aaron! It was an awful process and lots of finger pointing at the bank why it was taking so long. Of course they tried to blame us for the delays but we did exactly what they were wanting as soon as we were notified. I think it was just bankers that don't give a $h!t. They won't make as much money on lower interest.
I went over to GTT and found him, Chris. Lives in Lake Preston. Looks like he was active over there for about 10 years.
You hit the ball right down the center, Aaron. Those two guys that came out today and did the AC install were enjoying their job and very efficient. One guy had to go under the house crawling on gravel to route the new lineset up into the furnace, AC unit. I'm too old and fat to ever considering doing that again. I did it about 10 years ago when I ran an ethernet cable from the router to go out to the shop! About a 40 foot crawl one way for both of those jobs. I did ok then but I probably would have to call 911 to get drug out of there now! Anyway, those guys gave me hope in the workforce! No they weren't kids but dang good workers.
There's two I know of here in PA, one just west of Harrisburg and one near McConnellsburg.
I actually told him he could have the stuff for hauling it off. Over the years I was the only one in the family living in the country on an acreage with a shop. So when projects didn't work out or something broke beyond repair guess where it got left. Then my folks passed away and my brother and I had to clean up the mess my father left for us I decided when I got home that my mess was going away. That's where Tim and his trailer came in. I notified everyone they had two weeks to come get their stuff or it was going down the road and it did.
Garden Tractor Talk! I couldn't remember for sure what the name of that forum was. Your a pretty good detective Doug. Did you happen to notice if He's been around lately?
Thanks, Chris. Pretty easy to look for members on either forum. Here on TF and GTT are the only two tractor forums I have been a member of, so I didn't have to search much.
I'm blaming Canada, Rog---LOL! Just kidding our Canadian friends!DAC, you must be the one that left the door open up there. Our wind went around to the NW last night and has blew all day. Temp high was 44 with feels like 33.
Dang Daniel, I would love gusts up to 34mph instead of that being the steady windspeed with gusts up to 55mph! It started slowing up some this afternoon at least.
That's about right Daniel---LOL! Wind is definitely a normal part of life up here! Now that the wind is slowing up the cattle are probably falling over after leaning into it for a couple days!
