And more junk.

There are a few people interested in GT's around here but I don't know any of them and if I haven't met them yet it's probably too late. One of them hauled two 30 foot trailer loads of stuff out of here probably ten years ago and I haven't seen or heard from him since.
There's a garden tractor/mower salvage up in PA that pretty much only deals in JD stuff. He drives far and wide hauling tons of JD stuff at a time on what I'd guess is a 30' gooseneck trailer....could have been him!

The new central AC for the house finally was installed today---LOL! It only took about 3 months due the the bank dragging us through the mud to get that 2.9% home improvement loan! The water line excavation, plumber hookup rain gutters are all done. The master bedroom shower remodel will start the week after Thanksgiving.

No this guy lives maybe 30 miles south of here. I think he went by the handle (tractor Tim) either on this site or the Garden Tractor forum. That's where we connected. He did a nice job of hauling stuff out of here. I flew down to his place one time to visit and he did have quite the stuff. Kind of affected me as the type of person who would like to hang onto things. He if got to know you I think he would be happy to help a person looking for something.

2.9% is an excellent rate! I’ve been exploring some options to tear down the house and build a shop. Probably going to wait and see how the economy goes with the new leadership.

Either that or borrow against my 401k. But that one also depends on how the market is going.

I remember looking at member maps on GTT and here before they went away! Probably on the GTT one was "Tim Tractor"! I bet it is the same guy. Don't remember him posting much, but it's cool he bought so much of your stuff, Chris!

For the mud we got drug through it better be a great rate, Aaron! It was an awful process and lots of finger pointing at the bank why it was taking so long. Of course they tried to blame us for the delays but we did exactly what they were wanting as soon as we were notified. I think it was just bankers that don't give a $h!t. They won't make as much money on lower interest.

It just seems that customer service is dead. No one seems to care. No one seems to have any interest in doing their jobs anymore. It’s a sad state.

I had a guy tell me the other day that the service is terrible at McDonald’s because they don’t get paid enough to care. I said here is the thing. You sat down at an interview. You were told what you were getting paid. You agreed and took the job. If you aren’t happy with what you make then find another job. He couldn’t understand my logic.

My grandfather told me when I was a kid. I don’t care if you are making a dollar or 500 dollars you do the best job you can do. Your work is a direct reflection of you. I’ve lived my working career doing that.

Sorry. I’m off in left field….

I went over to GTT and found him, Chris. Lives in Lake Preston. Looks like he was active over there for about 10 years.

You hit the ball right down the center, Aaron. Those two guys that came out today and did the AC install were enjoying their job and very efficient. One guy had to go under the house crawling on gravel to route the new lineset up into the furnace, AC unit. I'm too old and fat to ever considering doing that again. I did it about 10 years ago when I ran an ethernet cable from the router to go out to the shop! About a 40 foot crawl one way for both of those jobs. I did ok then but I probably would have to call 911 to get drug out of there now! Anyway, those guys gave me hope in the workforce! No they weren't kids but dang good workers.

McDonalds was supposed to be a starter job, not a career!

I actually told him he could have the stuff for hauling it off. Over the years I was the only one in the family living in the country on an acreage with a shop. So when projects didn't work out or something broke beyond repair guess where it got left. Then my folks passed away and my brother and I had to clean up the mess my father left for us I decided when I got home that my mess was going away. That's where Tim and his trailer came in. I notified everyone they had two weeks to come get their stuff or it was going down the road and it did.
I'm still thankful for him having hauled the stuff out of here.

Garden Tractor Talk! I couldn't remember for sure what the name of that forum was. Your a pretty good detective Doug. Did you happen to notice if He's been around lately?
Thanks, Chris. Pretty easy to look for members on either forum. Here on TF and GTT are the only two tractor forums I have been a member of, so I didn't have to search much.

That link I posted from GTT says he was last seen 3 years ago. I checked members here on TF and he did sign up July of 2018, but that was the only time he was on this forum.

Had a bunch of running to do in town again today but got some time in the shop too. I got the plumber to put my shop furnace in his schedule, but not a definite time. He said "tomorrow". He is a good guy just buried with work.

I fired the furnace up long enough to get the chill out and while it was running, I remembered there is an LED that flashes codes. No codes being shown. The nice weather seems to be over, but I have the mobility scooter and garden trailer in the shop and loaded a bunch of junk into it to haul to a shed and the metal rack out back. Way to windy and cold to actually work outside though!

DAC, you must be the one that left the door open up there. Our wind went around to the NW last night and has blew all day. Temp high was 44 with feels like 33. ;);)
I'm blaming Canada, Rog---LOL! Just kidding our Canadian friends!

Yes, and the wind hits us worse tomorrow with gusts up to 34mph!
Dang Daniel, I would love gusts up to 34mph instead of that being the steady windspeed with gusts up to 55mph! It started slowing up some this afternoon at least.

The shop furnace is fixed! The plumber was able to make it out here in the afternoon. I call him the plumber, but his business is actually plumbing and HVAC. He listened to it for awhile on a ladder, then went out to the truck and got his gas pressure meter. Somehow the gas pressure increased to 5" and it is supposed to be 3.5"! He adjusted the regulator and the popcorn noises went away! Now I don't feel like the furnace is about to explode at any moment! He had several more jobs to get to yet so he will be working into the evening I'm sure. He also said soon as he finishes wiring his trailer, he will be out to pick up that old Craftsman LT I gave him.

That is a big worry off my mind as the nice weather is ending and I have stuff to do out in the lift bay, including a racecar body to letter again. Now I can tell him that I will be able to get the panels in the shop and keep it warm enough to actually work on them. Another guy who I lettered a lot of cars for in the past wants me to letter his street stock. Kicker is he wants it all paint. I don't don't think I can do the nice hand lettering like I could do back 20 years ago and more. The meds I'm on to breathe also cause shakes. I think he will have to go to the only sign painter I know in the area now.

Nice to have heat again before the real cold weather hits.

What did you say? I can't hear you over the wind!
I had to drive 40 miles to Brookings this morning. Strong winds and blowing snow. It was about 27F and the snow was sticking to the road in some places. Not much accumulation but when you drove into one of those squalls it got interesting.
