And more junk.

Those AC Delco batteries were hard to beat. I’ve had several over the years.
The one that came in the 2000 Bonneville when new was still in there when My daughter got the car. It was at least 6 years old and I wish I would have how long it lasted after they got the car. I agree AC Delco used to have some good batteries.
Just as well I never had to change it as it was under the back seat.

I have one of those drone quad copters. flew it a few times but not good in over 8-10 mph wind. Tried to get it linked to a smart phone several times but never worked for me. Not into that Hi Tech stuff anyway. Sitting in the box for the last couple years. When I had the time usually to much wind. Open area is all CRP now with 2-3' high grass. If/when it goes down it is down for good with those surroundings.

They started putting batteries in crazy places, Chris! Son's 2011 Traverse is in a hatch on the rear floorboard. For some reason Loree's 2021 Equinox has it under the hood where they belong unless you are a racer---LOL!

Supposedly the drone I have is supposed to self correct in wind up to 15mph or so. Then is comes home automatically when the batteries are getting low. It came home fine the one time I flew it, on my command. Cell phone worked good with it. Got to put a shroud around the phone out in the sun to see it. Law says if a person is flying by watching a phone there must also be a spotter watching the drone.

Daughter didn't come home today. She works for UPS during the holidays and they pay so dang good she hated to turn down the hours. She will be coming home tomorrow and get here in time for Thanksgiving dinner. Loree wanted her here to help prepare food, but I can't blame our daughter for taking advantage of some good money!

Doesn’t matter if I go or stay home it pays the same.
Me too Chris but staying home is cheaper!

Got a little shop time today. Put new belts in the vacuum cleaner, Brought Loree's car in to put wipers on it. Too damm cold to do it outside! Owrongley's (I stole that from Gtractor, Kris) gave me the wrong rear wiper. Back into town tomorrow. Wife, kids and sister in law all went to a movie. A musical. That's not for me---LOL!

Then I worked on that slot car conversion to a static display for awhile.

Cut and bent a piece of plastic license plate to make the "ground". Dug in the spray bomb cabinet hoping for some brown. One can that has to be 30 years old! Much to my surprise it sprayed nice and dried quickly!

When was the last time any of you paid $1.49 for a can of paint?---LOL!

This is the bottom of the "ground" with some holes drilled in it for tie wires to hold the car down. They are sticking out from under the car.

The pieces are ready to assemble.

Now I need to cut some stickers for it and then send to my old friend.

Probably be tree decorating day tomorrow. Daughter will go back home Sunday to get back to her seasonal job with UPS. She and I got the lights on the tree yesterday before we put ourselves in a food coma!

Daughter left early this morning so she could beat the s-word forecasted in her area this afternoon. She got home with no problems.

Wife wanted to watch football so that gave me a pass to head to the shop. Got the design layed out for the slot car box and will get it cut and stuck on tomorrow.

That is a beautiful tree! I always take ours down and apart every year and shove it in the box. This year I am going to leave it together and carry it down to the storage house.
Thank-you Aaron! There are ornaments on it that are 100 years old or more. This monster of a tree would need a front end loader to move it. 7-1/2 tall. It not real easy carrying the 3 pieces to put it together, much less the whole thing. My wife had to have it though!

Ours is a 5' tree which is just right size for our low ceilings. Lights are permanently on it. We take the ornaments off, lay it in the tree bag, zip it shut and down the basement under the steps till the next year when we reverse the procedure. Dragging it around in the bag don't seem to bother it one bit.

Our tree only fits in the tallest part of the vaulted ceilings of our trailer house. There's only 2 places it will fit.

Got that little car and case done today. Will try to get it packed and shipped tomorrow. Had chores in the house to do first though.

He still calls me "Dugger" to this day, and I always call him "Dikker"

Your tree looks good Doug. Carol has three she changes I’m not sure which one she picks out. We’re suppose to put ours up today. I’m hoping it’s not that snow covered one it’s so messy but looks nice once done.

The car in its case looks nice. I guess you had to do a lot of layout work on the etched looking sticker.
