Yes. They will be from 3" X 2" X 1/4" angle like my other trailer. They will go on after I flip the frame.

I got the underside welded up with the stick welder this morning. I got Aaron with his Dad's New Holland tractor to help get it off the 16" trailer and setting on tires. Now I can finish the top side.



Those are temporary tires and wheels. Didn't want the new ones on to flip it over.

Got everything that was needing it welded from the top. Used my other mobile welder.

I'm relearning stick welding. Been 25 or more years since I have done much of that. Today I start the top rail installation. I'll work while I have shade.

Well, so much for a wood floor. I was going to use treated 2X's, but there are none available. Going in a bit to pic up a 6' X 12' sheet of 1/8" tread plate. That's $300. But no floor to replace!

Ouch! But like you said, never need to replace it!

I heard there's no treated wood in stick around here as well, and if you do find some it's darned expensive! My cousin found some treated 2"x8"x8' and they were over $17 each!

Just be careful walking on the wet diamond plate. It's still slippery.

With the switch to diamond plate, do you think you will need a couple of longitudinals to shorten the five foot span between the sides? Maybe one in the middle?

The 'span' members are 2" X 2" x 1/4", they won't give in 5'.
