Yesterday afternoon out bush i wanted to make something and I had a ripper or chisel plough. The moulded tine was near wore out.

busy busy busy

Working on a Blown up Craftsman YT3000, rebuilding a 23hp Briggs ELS twin to drop in it in place of the blown up 21hp Vanguard single cylinder, a GT6000 with Kohler CV23 ignition module and carb problems, 2 more darn weed whackers, and the next door Neighbors Husquvarna 4 wheel drive push mower.

A big old frog jumped out in front of the mower and He swerved to miss it and hit a brick that was under some taller grass. Luckily it didn't bend the crank but it did bend the blade and crack the blade adapter. Atleast he missed the frog. That would of made a heck of a mess inside of the bag. lol

Just finished the other neighbors push mower and 6 darn weed whackers. Fuel lines, carb kits, spark plugs ect. I hate working on weed whackers. :(

And trying to fix my stuff at the same time. Oiler quit in my big firewood saw, (diaphragm went hard) and my trusty old push mower is getting tired. Might put a set of rings and a rod in it. Deck is solid and I just put a new blade, blade adapter, drive belt and 1 idler pulley and carb kit in it, but it's down on power and smokes at startup.

So much to do so little time lol.

1250. Answered a graigs list add. Been needing a deck for my `1250 Quiet Line cub for a long time. So yesterday I made a run to Sprite Lake Idaho. Set the gps for shortest distance. After driving back roads, deer trails and rabbit runs for about 60 miles I found This deck 1250 cub 001.jpg attached to this tractor 1250 cub 002.jpg 1250 cub 003.jpg The smell of the existing gas mad me suspicious of the carburetor. Had stuff on there I didn't know you could grow outside a refrigerator. 1250 cub 004.jpg The float bole convinced me to remove the carb for a good cleaning. 1250 cub 005.jpg At this point my phone battery went dead so no more pictures for now. Next I removed the gas tank for a dump and flush. After a good carb cleaning, installing a good battery, freeing up the start safety switch and doing some repairs to the back yard wiring I found behind the dash. It fired right up and cruised around the yard just like a real one. Now I need to re check out the deck. DON

Working on a customers Poulan mower. He bought it in 2011 and I opened the hood to what looked like this years mower. Takes great care of it. He's getting new blades, deck belt, one idler, and the Grass Deflector. Just waiting for UPS to arrive to put it back together!

Messed with the 2166 today. The clutch stop stud broke off so spent about an hour getting that out. Will pick up a new bolt in the morning. The belt tension rod was held tight with wire so made a hook out of a piece of 1/4 chain link. Got the breather cover in the mail so put that on.

Finally fixed my tie rod ends on the Sears that broke during Daniel's plow days, of course I redneck'd it, slotted some washers and welded them on.
I also pulled deck, cleaned it and changed out blades since its not cutting well. Ratchet slipped and hit my thumb on the newly sharpened blade. Good thing it caught my nail or I might have been making an ER visit.

I did that once... narrowly missed the cutting edge. Glad you weren't cut!

I painted these two yard decoration things for my sister, and the spinner required some welding repairs first. I've had them since May but we are heading back down to the Denver, CO area where she lives again next week (VIA Yellowstone) so I had to get them done finally! I had to put them off until the week we are leaving of course! I'm getting the tractor ready after I sign off here to do a quick mow tomorrow after work. We are leaving for Gillette, WY Friday after work. Saturday to Cody, WY, Sunday to West Yellowstone, MT, Monday to Green River WY, Tuesday to Glenwood Springs, CO, and finally Wednesday we will get to my sister's place in Arvada, CO. Will stay there until the following Sunday or Monday to return home capping off the trip with a Rockies VS Dodgers baseball game Saturday night. Our 40th anniversary is in October and the wife said this is what we are doing for it. I got her Denali ready for the trip last Saturday. I may not be on here much during that time.

Adjusted the belts again on the 210.....
she’s in a bad mood lately I’ll figure her out but the frustrations are mounting since I e pushed it back to the garage a time or two. Getting to .... out of shape for that. Yes that’s it out of shape.

Have one more part for the 2166 to be here Saturday - starter solenoid. Aftermarket off eBay but not hard to change out so hopefully it will last a year or two. Have more in this machine than I can get out of it so may have to mow my investment out. 2000 shaft drive LT 2166 is a darn good lawn tractor and didn't want to see it go to parts.

Slowly taking the latest tractor apart. The serial tag is gone so going to dig in deep to see if I can find any identifying parts to tell me what year it is.
