What are you currently working on??

Hi guys on my Briggs 18 v twin
I can't find the codes on the spark plug and I don't have a manual for it can any of you tell me what spark plugs I need thank you

Front tin work off the 2166 CC is primed 2 coats. Little touch up sanding and ready for the finish today. Won't be a body shop job but be a lot better than having all the big rust spots showing.

Pasinted the hood, inside of the grill and side panels on the CC2156 this morning. Used Valspar Hi Gloss oil base enamel. Found out after I had the paint mixed that this is a prush on paint or airless spray. Don' have airless so went with a good brush. Turned out smoother as far as I can see. Wasn't wanting a $500 paint job on a $400 tractor and mower. Will look a lot better than it did when I started but not what I intended. Might just keep it and sell the 1018 the Mrs. uses.

This Saturday is our club first annual Ice Cream Tour. We are going to one of our members houses, and driving to the ice cream stand and back. About a three-hour round-trip, including ice cream time.
Caitlin wanted to drive my MH ate one in the tour. I dug the MH to 2 out of mothballs and have been fighting to get it running right ever since. Things like sloppy steering, corroded points, stuck valves, low tire pressure on filled tires, bad valve stems surprise, and last night I found a universal joint that is making a little noise. I also found that it was missing its grease fitting.
It runs strong now, and I am out of time anyways. Here is hoping.

Pictures tomorrow.

An update on my engine swap. I set the engine in the frame and in trying to hook up the choke cable found it was too long to use the K341's clamp. I decided to change the choke rod from one carb to the other. After I broke the heads off the screws on #30 carb I got out my die grinder and ground the bradded ends of the screws off. It started raining so I didn't get any pics yet.

Got the JD 200 put back together enough to run it around under its own power today.
Reglued the original foot pads down, installed new tail lights, painted the grill and emblem ,a quick bath . Still have some odds and ends to do yet but it’s nice to have had time in the cave tinkering on it. Also had the 208 out for a little sun today so we did a small family photo with the two of them.2C283836-67F0-4469-A0B6-49C37BBF0736.jpegC85DE56B-30CC-44BC-98D2-D610851DC9D5.jpeg8C1589AC-7DAF-4379-AFB3-EB72E87FF2FD.jpeg8990C4F6-C3E7-4E88-8ED4-D11D187783AF.jpeg4609EFF1-C427-47A6-8698-C19B6599A39A.jpeg

You guys put me to shame.
I've been trying to put on new, larger tires on my Bolens/Troy Bilt GTX20 for weeks now.
Wanted to go to larger OD to make it easier to roll in rough stuff, and then I made the mistake of wider rears.
Maybe in a couple weeks.

I think I can top you, been restoring a Sears Suburban since 2012, only 70% done. My MF1855 hasnt ran since fall of 2012 and it only needs an hour or two of work.

Got the cream tin work painted off the CC 2166 and ready to go back on. Have some rust patches to clean up and paint on the yellow first. Have a bad safety switch in the PTO clutch circuit but can't figure out which one. Going to tap in after the PTO switch and go straight to the clutch. It is the ground side that has the safety switches in. Most screwed up wiring setup I have seen. Elimination is the best remedy for this kind of mess.

More work on the 200 today . Wanted to get the grass cut but just had to spend more time in the cave tinkering, not really dissapointed .Darn rain. Have to say it felt great to again have time with the herd.
So today I swapped one of the front tires to one I had stored away that made them a matching set. Made a battery hold down for it. Things were going well until I removed the amp gauge to fix the lens and ended up breaking it. Back to E-Bay for another used one I guess.
Also made a battery hold down for the 208 that I never accomplished after the restoration. Realized I had put the battery in wrong and the hold down would have shorted the posts together so ended up making a new positive cable. Decided also to sand and polish the hold down for the 208 for just a little extra.896C9B5D-4081-4CC9-904B-681119597641.jpegBB2584CB-4F5A-43AD-ABE5-5D608D6CC306.jpeg2985F849-E5AB-4A5B-9CB9-8D84D8BB95BE.jpeg

Have the CC 2166 about finished. Removed the starter, cleaned it up good and lubed it. Back on again. Rubber foot pads back on. No headlight lens assembly. Real hard to find used as they are the first thing that gets hit seems like. Need the air box cover. They are pricy also. Other than those two items ir is ready for a new home.

If I had a lathe I could make a spacer. It would have to be an 1 !/4" thick. If I could talk you into making me I shore would like it and pay for it.

I got it started and it seems to be off balance as it shakes the tractor while idling. Would just changing the flywheel possibly cause that?
That's a Ford/Jacobsen air filter. It would be easier to get a correct unit to start with. I may have something more in line with what you need.
